Throughout the stay, no issues were clearly reported to us in a way that allowed us the opportunity to address them. When we were notified by VRBO regarding a claim that demanded full refund, we immediately contacted the guest to request details and photos so we could assist, the response received the next day was: “no need to worry.” As hosts, we take every concern seriously and always try to resolve matters promptly and respectfully. However, effective communication during the stay is essential in order for us to provide support and solutions in real time. We also want to clarify that our listing includes extensive photos and a detailed description of the property, so guests can make an informed decision prior to booking. Some of the photos included in this review appear to highlight normal features of the home (such as the wooden ceiling and patio flooring), which are accurately shown in our listing. So we are confused as to what the intentions were. To future guests: The Chalet is a small family-run business located in a quiet residential area, offering privacy and a peaceful stay. We are committed to maintaining high standards and providing excellent service, and we kindly ask guests to communicate any concerns during their stay so we can address them immediately. We encourage guests to take a look to as many reviews as possible in order to get a feeling of what the property has to offer and help you make an informed decision.

We are sorry that the experience did not meet the guest’s expectations. Both of their reservations were held for more than six months. Shortly before arrival, the guests requested a full refund due to personal circumstances; however, in accordance with VRBO’s cancellation policy, this was not possible. Even so, we worked with them in good faith and granted multiple requests in an effort to be helpful and fair. No concerns were communicated to us during the stay, and the reservation was ended without allowing us the opportunity to address or resolve any issues. We always encourage guests to reach out immediately so we can assist in real time. We would also like to share that behind this property is a hardworking family doing their best to move forward and provide an honest, clean, and safe space for our guests. Thank you for your review, Aida. We were genuinely surprised and disappointed by the low rating, especially considering the communication and attention provided throughout your stay. Our home is conveniently located near the airport, which many guests find to be a great advantage. In over 7 years of hosting, this is the first time we have received a complaint regarding airplane noise. While we understand that individual sensitivity to sound can vary, this is unfortunately something outside of our control. Regarding the shower drain, our team personally inspected and tested it after your checkout and confirmed it is draining properly. We do wish this had been communicated during your stay, as we would have been happy to address it immediately and ensure everything was fully resolved at the time. To future guests: we are a small family-run business and take great pride in providing a clean, comfortable, and private stay in a quiet residential area.
