We were so fortunate to stay in this Vrbo straight out of a picture book. The gardens are gorgeous and I'm so glad we took lots of photos to look back on. Our large room and bathroom (with a luxurious shower!) were just perfect. We are so grateful to our very kind and thoughtful hosts.Roger and Marlene
We had a wonderful stay as we celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary. The hospitality we experienced coupled with the natural beauty of the area made for a spectacular few days. We are grateful!
We had a lovely stay in this quiet location overlooking the water. We hope to return!

This is a beautiful and restorative place to stay nestled in nature. The host family are very kind and welcoming, and generously shared places to eat, see, and walk. Thank you for such a wonderful place to renew.
This cottage is beautifully located on a bluff overlooking the water. A gem of a beach is a short distance away. The cottage has all the basic and then some.
My husband I got to celebrate our anniversary at this beautiful gem of a place. You get to overlook the ocean from such a cozy and inviting location. I can only imagine what the garden looks like in the summertime and I can't wait to come back and find out!

Absolutely stunning views! Hosts thought of everything! Delicious scones, jam and bagels for breakfast. Amazing views of the bay. Stunning garden. Quiet and very rejuvenating! Highly recommend!
Such an elegantly comfortable cottage. The grounds were beautiful. The beach walks were so relaxing
This was the minivaction we needed. Everything was so pleasant, from the beautiful views to our kind and generous hosts. We feel restored. Thank you, Susie and Howard.
The hosts were wonderful and nice to talk with. We enjoyed the beautiful view, the beautiful cottage, the grounds, and the nice touches! The ground coffee and breakfast treats for our first morning were so tasty and added so much to our stay. We look forward to coming back to this spectacular place. Thanks so much!!!!
This property was stunning. Surrounded by beautiful flower beds and peaceful views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca it was everything we wanted. This was our 50th anniversary and we would definitely recommend it. A cute little cottage with lots of homey touches Suzie and Howard have done a great job. We would love to return
Susie and Howard were THE best hosts and this was a perfect way for us to kick off our PNW vacation. The space is VERY clean, very comfortable, and the views are amazing. The gardens will blow you away! It’s a quick drive to Olympic NP and to the ferry to go to Victoria, BC. Port Hadlock is a very cute little town. Don’t hesitate to book Seaclusion- you’ll be glad you did!
This is such a beautiful place. It was hard to leave to go and see the sites in the area! If you remember, wake up and see the sun come up without even getting out of bed! Just beautiful! The owners were welcoming and lovely to talk to. Thank you!
Reserved this space to take some time off work and recharge my batteries. It couldn’t have been better. The space is cozy and comfortable and the property is gorgeous. I went kayaking, walked the beach, had wonderful food at local restaurants, and read a good book. Susie and Howard are delightful and wonderful hosts!
The Serene Getaway is a dream for those who love nature, quiet and fantastic yard and views to the ocean. The room is lovely furnished and very clean. Susie and Howard are the perfect host. The only thing you have to know for longer stay is there is no possibility for cooking beside a microwave and a small grill. But there are good restaurants around the corner.

About the host
Hosted by Suzanne Learned
Susie loves good food and will tell you where the best places are to eat and have fun. She can point you in the right direction to visit beautiful gardens. Loves to cook, garden, read, and hike, these are some of her favorite things.
Why they chose this property
This property was in my husband's family for over 100 years. It became a summer home and we knew we would end up here. In a short distance there is a cousin who lives in a log cabin built in 1932, He continues to keep it to look inviting.
What makes this property unique
I love that we are close to beach with the mountains near by. We used to be corporate nomads living from San Francisco to New York to Arizona. When I first saw this property all those years ago I felt like it was home. Scenery is so spectacular. And it's the people here that make the difference. People really following their dreams here more than any place I ever lived, nice too.
