This is a beautiful and restorative place to stay nestled in nature. The host family are very kind and welcoming, and generously shared places to eat, see, and walk. Thank you for such a wonderful place to renew.
Scrupulously clean and oozing comfort and charm, peaceful SeaClusion Cottage was the perfect place to welcome the new year. The garden and views are terrific even in winter. In the summer it must be heaven on earth.
Howard and Suzie were very friendly and accommodating, and the home and setting were perfect! The views are spectacular, and we had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. We really enjoyed the gazebo and the heater was great for the evenings. Thank you for everything!
This property was stunning. Surrounded by beautiful flower beds and peaceful views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca it was everything we wanted. This was our 50th anniversary and we would definitely recommend it. A cute little cottage with lots of homey touches Suzie and Howard have done a great job. We would love to return
The studio was clean and well appointed. The garden surrounding the unit and the view were just amazing. Waking up to the birds singing in the garden was a delight. Hosts were very gracious and helpful without being intrusive.

Anniversary Getaway
What a great place to escape from the demands of our busy lives! The water view and private cottage were just what we needed to decompress and reconnect. Howard and Suzie were most hospitable and offered great suggestions for activities and places to eat in the area. We will definitely visit again and would recommend this piece of heaven for any couple (or single) who want to just get away from it all! If I had one wish, it would be to stay longer to explore and experience more of what this beautiful area has to offer!
Between the sweeping view out to the salt water and the comfortable, clean property, this is a great place for a get-away. This property is about 15 minutes away from downtown Port Townsend - close enough to enjoy the amenities, but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet. The hosts were warm and friendly at check-in, and thoughtful touches like local treats were waiting for us to enjoy. Once we were welcomed in, we were pretty much left to our own devices. We appreciated this as we took full advantage of the tranquil setting to relax and recharge.
We were so fortunate to stay in this Vrbo straight out of a picture book. The gardens are gorgeous and I'm so glad we took lots of photos to look back on. Our large room and bathroom (with a luxurious shower!) were just perfect. We are so grateful to our very kind and thoughtful hosts.Roger and Marlene
My husband and I spent three nights at this rental. We very much appreciated the special touches included in our stay. Yummy continental breakfast was provided for the first morning. Quality coffee and tea was also provided.
The studio apartment is small and cozy. The bed is wonderfully comfortable. Linens, both bed and bath, are top quality. The kitchen has a small microwave and toaster oven. We knew this and brought some prepared items we could heat up. This worked well for us.
Also- the decor is just beautiful. The gardens are amazing and the owners have set up lovely sitting areas to enjoy coffee and watch the water- boats, otters, jumping salmon were so entertaining.
If I had a (very small) complaint, we couldn’t find any wine glasses so we enjoyed our wine out of juice glasses.
Susie and Howard were THE best hosts and this was a perfect way for us to kick off our PNW vacation. The space is VERY clean, very comfortable, and the views are amazing. The gardens will blow you away! It’s a quick drive to Olympic NP and to the ferry to go to Victoria, BC. Port Hadlock is a very cute little town. Don’t hesitate to book Seaclusion- you’ll be glad you did!
That was a special place to stay, quiet and just stunningly beautiful.

About the host
Hosted by Suzanne Learned
Susie loves good food and will tell you where the best places are to eat and have fun. She can point you in the right direction to visit beautiful gardens. Loves to cook, garden, read, and hike, these are some of her favorite things.
Why they chose this property
This property was in my husband's family for over 100 years. It became a summer home and we knew we would end up here. In a short distance there is a cousin who lives in a log cabin built in 1932, He continues to keep it to look inviting.
What makes this property unique
I love that we are close to beach with the mountains near by. We used to be corporate nomads living from San Francisco to New York to Arizona. When I first saw this property all those years ago I felt like it was home. Scenery is so spectacular. And it's the people here that make the difference. People really following their dreams here more than any place I ever lived, nice too.
