Perfect little place that is close to everything. Top shelf host brought in a brand new TV after check in on Thanksgiving eve when the other one wasn't working properly for us. No issues here...Loved it!!! Thank you Han!!!!
This property was perfect for our needs. The space was clean, with a cool midcentury vibe. It is situated in hills above Asheville--you feel like you're in the mountains but, as the description states, you're a lovely 25 minute walk into town. We walked to Asheville in the morning, spent the day downtown, in coffee shops, book stores, art walk, brewery etc then walked home as the sun was setting (the walk back is a more strenuous uphill, FYI). Really a perfect day. The host is prompt with communication and eager to help with any request.
We wanted something close to the Biltmore but not a hotel. This was the perfect solution. It was so cozy. Beds were great! Loved the little welcome message on the board! Only downside is you can hear the upstairs guest as this is a basement unit. Not a problem unless the ones upstairs don't realize how loud they are being. I would recommend adding a few additional chairs to the living room area. Overall a great choice for us!

Thanks Eugenia,
I really appreciate the 5 stars! Yes, we are certainly close to the Biltmore and even closer to downtown!
Adding more chairs is an interesting idea. I didn’t want to clutter the space. I was thinking we have 4 chairs that can be moved in addition to the lounge and the couch. I will definitely consider it! I am actually looking for a beanbag chair for fun.
Thanks so much for staying and we’ll see you next trip!

I booked this property for a weekend trip to Asheville. It looked great based on pictures and past reviews. Unfortunately we did not stay there more than an hour. Upon arrival there was an overpowering lemon scent in the house. We saw that there was a diffuser running so we turned it off. Then the lemon scent subsided but was replaced by a strong musty smell that bothered us and especially my daughter who has allergies. My wife went into the bathroom and while using the toilet, a large mole cricket jumped at her. She screamed and left and bathroom. I went in and killed the cricket and also found another one in the tub. Finally, there was stink bugs in the kitchen. We realized that all of these thing were just too much and could not see ourselves staying there overnight. We decided to contact the owner and left the property.

This home is sealed up tight but once in a while, like all homes, a bug might get in. After Fadis feedback we did a thorough inspection. We didn’t find a single cricket or any bug.
Most folks love the subtle, fresh, clean lemon sent from essential oils, but I talked with my cleaner about adding less to the diffuser and turning it off before guests arrive. There’s no musty smell that we can detect and it’s not something we’ve heard from other guests. It’s actually a quite open and sunny space.
I think we’re dealing with sensitive allergies and a bug encounter. We take all feedback seriously and will continue to monitor the property but based on my and my cleaners assessment the complaints seem largely unfounded.
VRBO doesn’t consider seeing a bug or two grounds for abandoning a stay, unless it’s an infestation. Despite that, we did issue Fadi a partial refund bc I really do care about my guests!
We were very happy with accommodations. Spaces exist as explained in the VRBO site. Received all the information we needed to access the apartment as well as the wifi access. Host was very accommodating and communicated with us to make sure everything was okay.
We came up to Asheville from Georgia for the weekend. The home was perfect for us- just a few minutes to everything in the downtown area and in such a pretty part of town. The beds were comfy and we were so thankful for washer/dryer and all the amenities. Han was a great host and provided immediate responses with info or to messages. Thanks so much and we would stay again!
A nice private spot that was perfect for our trip to Asheville for several days. Very responsive & welcoming host. It had everything we needed (note, no TV - we didn't care, we streamed from our computer/iPad). Accessible to everything we wanted to do. We'd stay again if we make our way back to Asheville.

Why they chose this property
This property is very unique in Asheville. Until now visitors had to choose between being close to everything but in an urban, noisy rental with street parking or staying in a natural, quiet location far outside the city. Not anymore. Hideaway has it all. Located on a ridge bisecting the city it offers peace, quiet, birds and bears within a stone's throw of downtown and everything in Asheville.
What makes this property unique
1.5 miles from downtown. off-street parking, full kitchen, low pricing, open floor plan.
