I was very pleased with our place. It was clean and comfortable. The ocean view was so nice.

The only complaint that I had was the check in. We only rented it for 6 nights so our check in day was a day later than everyone else. The check in counter couldn’t find our reservation because it was booked for the whole 7 nights. They found our reservation the day before. I wish that it would have been made clearer to us about about the fact that everyone but us had checked in the day before. It all worked out, but for a minute I was worried that we had been scammed. I want to make it clear though that we were only charged fir 6 nights and taxes to cover 6 nights. We also didn’t realize that you could check out beach towels at the pool for the week and that there were other beach rentals available by the front desk. We bought towels and rented snorkel gear somewhere else before we knew this. Other than that we really enjoyed our stay at Pono Kai!

In regards to check-in, we informed Pono Kai that you would be arriving late and they assured us that a note was written at the front desk. We do that for all of our guests. In reference to the beach towels, you messaged us before your flight and we let you know that the resort provides them. Sorry if we weren't clear enough. Mahalo!
