We have a super house which we planned ourselves. The barn over the stream was originally my equestrian shop and has been transformed into a bnb it’s private and is great to wonder up the road to the culdesac at the end of our road to buy native flowers. We are only 5 mins to Te Horo beach and 2 mins away from the fab Ruth Pretty’s cooking school and cafe where she sells yummy cakes and slices and you can browse her kitchen shop. Our gorgeous friend Kirsty has her unique Blue Bus cafe at Te Horo beach which has the best homemade treats and coffee set in a tranquil garden but only open fri-sun as it’s so special. Donuts, custard squares and coffee to die for!
We’re are also close to the Otaki falls where you can swim in the river at “the pots” high is popular in summer or head into Otaki to shop in the outlet stores. Markets are every Saturday in Otaki and we have one in Te Horo every first Saturday of the month 3 mins away. There are special events like Xmas markets, Otaki kite festival, Ruth Pretty’s amazing cooking classes most months the list goes on.
