About this property
A Stone's Throw from the River (and walking distance to the shops and beach)
This classic and relaxed renovated beach house has exactly what you need for a perfect family holiday. Please feel free to Google us to see what others have said.
The location could not be better, it is a 10 minute walk from the local shops, cafes and restaurants and with the Anglesea river conveniently located right at the end of the quiet tree-lined street.
This home has everything covered with air conditioning downstairs and a wood fire.
There is an stunning deck and outdoor area to enjoy a BBQ on a summer’s night. The large backyard has a grass area for kids to play and is frequented by native birds.
The space:
This home is a updated classic family beach house with newly renovated bathrooms and a modern well equipped kitchen.
There are four bedrooms – 1 queen bed (downstairs), a single bed with an additional pull-out/trundle bed (best for kids) as well as 2 bedrooms with queen beds upstairs. There are two bathrooms downstairs however there is no bathroom upstairs.
The living space is cosy (with a Coonara style fire); the dining table seats 6 comfortably and there is a three-seater couch, armchair and an Ottoman in the lounge. There is also a Bungalow separate to the main house (with a TV/Blu-ray player, Xbox, Netflix, a pool table, couch and bean-bags for the kids).
Please note the house is not suitable for large groups of adults (4 to 6 max is recommended plus kids) who plan to stay primarily inside as the living room is on the small side. The house is a great base for visiting the beach and exploring the region. In winter we recommend smaller groups only.
Outside you will find a great outdoor living space complete with a large deck and gas BBQ and as well as dining table (for 8-10).
This property is a 10 minute stroll to the main shops (the walk along the river is lovely) and a 20 minute walk to the beach.
You can also enjoy unlimited fast WiFi and Netflix.
Please read our house rules but note the following in particular:
• All bed linen and towels provided
• There is a retractable baby gate at top of the stairs
• If you are bringing infants, please bring your own porta-cot and high-chair
• No pets allowed
• No smoking allowed
• No parties, events or schoolies.
To be kind to our neighbours, please no excessive noise or outdoor entertaining beyond 10pm.
Please treat this home as if it were your own. Great care and attention has been taken to making this a superb place to stay so we appreciate your support to help keep it this way.
*** Absolutely no parties, events or schoolies ***

About the host
Hosted by Jane
I spend most of my time in Melbourne working with payroll systems but am a beach lover by nature.
Why they chose this property
Anglesea is where I relax and recharge: paddle on the river, swim in the ocean and walk through the beautiful Heath and bush. I really hope you enjoy ‘A Stone's Throw’ at Anglesea as much as my family and I do
What makes this property unique
An idyllic spot on a quiet street with gumtrees, great birdlife, and the river at the end of the street.
