We had 3 adults staying for a wedding nearby. The place was good for us. It was close to everything we needing. Love the Elk wondering around the property on the 2nd day.
The Peak was easy to find and convenient to major access hiways and downtown Estes. The 2 bedrooms were spacious. One car garage was an unexpected plus.
The condo was great. The location is ok. Parking was tight and we had no view due to the cars were parked right on top of the door. Estes park is a beautiful town to visit but has become very touristy. Lots of teeshirt and ice cream shops.
We loved our stay! The inside is very clean and modern, and the location is very convenient to explore Estes Park/RMNP. The only downside is parking. There is one small garage and room to park another car in front of that, but it’s very tight to maneuver. If you have large trucks, this will be a challenge. If you have three or more vehicles, you’ll have to park them across the street at the sketchy Dollar General. If neither of those apply to you, then this place will be a fantastic spot :)
Promises your stay, then alters the date and blamed it on VRBO
I booked the stay here as my daughter had a week long horse show at the fairgrounds, proximity was so important to us. The host messaged me off the VRBO platform and said VRBO double booked her and I could no longer stay the last night. I only booked this place because I could stay the week (this was a few days before our arrival). They refunded me the cost of a hotel room, which didn't matter: we needed the full condo because of the horse show. After looking into it further, the host is responsible for managing that schedule, not VRBO. So be aware....this host will cancel your stay, even last minute (when you NEED the space and the location) if something better comes on their radar. To top it off, the washer was so noisy we couldn't sleep. The latch to open the window in the bedroom was laying on the floor when we arrived so we couldn't open the window (and there is NO AC). I would highly recommend staying somewhere else if you find your specific vacation days are a necessity.
We loved our stay here! It was comfortable, close to downtown and quiet for rest and relaxation after our days of hiking! I would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay in Estes Park.
We enjoyed our stay at the property. I will list pros and cons:
1. Within walking distance of downtown. 1.2 miles
2. If you need a ride there are some available.
3. There is only movies or news to watch on TV. No local stations but I think that is the normal in that small town.
4. Good water pressure in the bathroom!!!
5. The condo was clean when we arrived but the carpet in the bedrooms are not very clean.
6. The locals are friendly. We ate at several restaurants but only thought is was just ok.
7. Take the local tours. Some were closed Oct. 1 but the National Park was amazing.
8. The property only gives you one hand towel for the bathroom and one personal wash cloth. There is a washer and dryer that that we used to rewash what we needed. I would suggest to the owner to provide more hand and personal towels for the guests.
9. We went at a busy time during Elk fest so the local shuttles were very busy. Like I said before you can walk everywhere mostly. We got over 12,000 steps in a day.
10. Overall the property is a good rental. You will love it there!
Flew out from North Carolina. Stayed 9 days to hike in Rocky Mountain National Park. Walking distance to downtown Estes Park. Short drive to RMNP. Very clean. Good condition. OK view from front porch. Good response from owner. We did not use garage but would be nice in colder weather. Highly recommend.
This condo had everything we needed. The garage was a nice bonus, and it had a dart board which gave us a few hours of fun and laughs when it was raining outside. I am especially grateful for the washer and dryer. Overall it was cozy and clean and the decor and furniture was modern.
Great location for Estes and Rocky Mountain adventures. We never got a code for the door until we asked. As soon as we asked, we did get a response. Pull out couch was not comfortable.
Enjoyed garage to stage packs and equipment and dart board in garage. Also had washer and dryer which was a nice bonus! Great place!!
