Beautiful house with plenty of room. The host was very good at communicating. And they had Lily, their horse, next door, who was very friendly! Close to everything we wanted to see. Would highly recommend!

Highly recommend this three bedroom, three bath, well appointed kitchen and laundry room. Cuckoos Nest was perfect for our family of four adults vacation. We enjoyed walking to restaurants and shops daily. Excellent location for our itinerary of exploring multiple areas on the West Coast of Ireland. Visited Cliffs of Moher (10 minute drive because trail was closed), ferry to Aran islands (3 minute drive), Ballybunion, Our Lady of Knock and much more. Host was very attentive to any questions we had.

Patrick’s place was amazing - absolutely beautiful and perfect location. We really enjoyed the space and the pellet stove was great on cool evenings. 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms was perfect for our group of 4. Everything was bright and airy.Patrick was very responsive to all our questions.Can’t recommend enough!

Overall, this was a terrific experience! We have rented in Ireland on two other occasions and had good luck both times. Some minor quibbles: a few lights that didn’t work; owner Patrick now aware. For long-term renters (we stayed for a month), the kitchen could use some utensil upgrades but nothing major. We cooked in for half of our meals. Doolin has no grocery store. Food shopping was in Ennistymon, 15 minutes away. The living room was very cozy on those blustery October days when we stayed inside and read for hours on end. Would love to see some window treatments for the dining area and the front door. Patrick was very responsive to all inquiries and made check-in/out very easy. Doolin itself is a gem, 1 hour from Shannon. County Clare has a wealth of things to see/do and is the traditional music capital of the country. The Cliffs of Moher were minutes away and the equally impressive Kilkee cliffs were less than an hour. The Doolin Ferry runs multiple times/day to the Aran Islands. Dining? The pubs served high-quality pub grub with great service everywhere. A surprise: there are two Michelin-rated restaurants! We ate at the Homestead Cottage (one Michelin star each of the last three years) and enjoyed it immensely. In short, this was my 6th trip to Ireland, my wife’s 4th. Each one gets better and better. We thoroughly enjoyed Doolin and the Cuckoo’s Nest! Sláinte!

Really lovely little home where each person or couple can have their own bathroom. Only recommendation to the owner is to provide a bit more instruction in the paper manual about how to operate the pellet heater and the showers. We were able to find instructions online for these things but it took some hunting. Many thanks for a lovely stay!

Great location, views, lots of space!

We loved our stay in this historic renovated cottage. Plenty of space for our family with 2 teens. Easy walk to the pub, shops, and bike rental. Close to the ferry for a day trip to the Aran Islands. We loved our stay here and would stay again!

Love Doolin

What a wonderful cottage in a very convenient location in Doolin. Cottage was beautiful, clean and cozy. It is truly 2 minutes from O’Conners where we had two delicious meals and listened to some wonderful Irish music. Loved our stay!
