It was a wonderful time with my 3 kids. Everything with the property was as advertised. My kids loved making a fire in the fire pit every evening and I loved the hot tub. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because it was pretty musty inside.
Great small cabin in woods. Very private with a lot to do around the property and surrounding options. The kitchen is small but functional. We cooked every meal there. Rooms same, which is what we expected base on listing. Fishing pond was fun, trails were well maintained. The bathroom, hot tub and overall property were great. Could use an extra cleaning as floors were dirty base on color of bottom of socks.
We had some mishaps but the host was really accommodating. Can't wait to stay there again. You could stay there a whole weekend exploring the trails on property and never really need to leave if your brought proper supplies.
The place was super cute. They even have a book to help guide you on the best places to eat. They even have a trail around the property. If you stay, take some slip on shoes to get to the hot tub. Wonderful place, clean and nice location the the things to do if visiting hocking hills. Would stay again for sure.
Rooms were clean, the place was super cold when we got there (which was so nice cause it was hot outside). Host responds pretty fast. The only negative was some of the dishes in the cabinets weren’t very clean and there was no dish soap, otherwise it was fantastic! (Loved the hand drawn map to the Fairy Forest)
Was perfect for our week and the hot tub was great after a day in the woods and the setting was cozy and relaxing
Stayed 6 nights in Dec 2025

Liked: Check-in
Disliked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Hot tub was filthy (we cleaned a lot of dirt and hair out of it ourselves). Description of the property is a bit misleading, i.e. there is a pond, however it is not well maintained, a lot of growth all the way around. The several acres with the property and the trails as advertised were not well maintained or easily accessible without possibly a weed trimmer. Just beware that the pictures posted, inside and out are a bit misleading. Not the worst place I’ve ever seen but also not recommending to any friends or family.
It’s very rustic and minimalistic but growing up in the area I was expecting that. Athens is close by and Old Mans Cave isn’t that far away and off course the Rocky’s boot store in Lancaster great place for lunch. We hiked the property had a camp fire and hit the jacuzzi. Very peaceful.
Our second time staying. Very nice place, love the trails on the property, caught a bunch of bluegill out of the pond, had a fire everynight and looked at the stars. Great place to stay and relax! Saw a bunch of deer, wife identified 21 different types of birds on her phone app! Also she thinks she heard a bobcat one night
Incredible scenery. The hosts thought of everything to make the stay comfortable. We had an incredible time. It was hard finding with reception but once at the cabin the WiFi helped.
