It offers easy access to hiking, skiing, golfing, fishing, swimming and innumerable water sports. Spend a day hiking a nearby trail or relaxing by the pool, and then enjoy the spacious accommodations, which feature well-appointed kitchens and full bathrooms. With spacious living areas, a picturesque location and year-round on-site fun, Fairway Forest Resort truly is paradise in the mountains.

You and your guests can stretch out and relax in the living area, whip up delicious meals in the kitchen and enjoy the comfort of having your own private accommodations for an ideal getaway. Bedding is a King bed, 2 Twin beds and a Queen sleeper sofa.

IMPORTANT PROPERTY NOTICE

The Front Desk and check-in area is located about 1.7 miles off-site at the Sapphire Valley Real Estate office at 3077 U.S. Highway 64 East, Suite A, Sapphire, North Carolina. The office is in a two-story, dark salmon building with beige doors on the north side of the road. After-hours check in is available at the Blue Ridge Public Safety Office at 4352 U.S. Highway 64 East, Sapphire, North Carolina.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

~Check In/Out Time~

• Check-in: 4:00pm
• Check-out: 10:00am
• Minimum age to check in is 21 years old.
• Please contact the resort prior to arrival if you anticipate your arrival time would be later than midnight (resort local time). Arrivals after midnight may be subject to cancellation.

~What you need to know before your arrival~

• At time of check-in, a valid government-issued photo identification is required and must match the guest name under which the reservation was made and you must be at least 21 years old to check into the resort

•A USD $22.20 plus tax Resort Fee will be applied daily to this reservation. This fee includes Guest internet access; Self-parking; Mini-golf; Discount on skiing and boating; Sauna access; Book exchange. *All activities and amenities are located off-site from the accommodations.

• The Debit or Credit Card used to secure your booking must be presented at check-in. If the card is not presented, funds secured are reversed, and payment is secured on the new card. The Card owner must be present at time of arrival.

• A USD $200 Security Hold is required at time of arrival and must be placed on a major credit or debit card.

• We do our best to accommodate all special requests, but we are not always able to do so. Please contact us before your arrival.

•We have ADA amenities available. For any guests needing assistance, or if you have any questions/comments regarding the above, please contact us.

~Property Policies~

• Responsibility for Charges and Damages: You are liable for all damages to the room(s) caused by you or your guests/invitees during your stay. You agree that guests in our room are authorized by you to charge to the room from anywhere in the resort , unless you advise the Front Desk otherwise.

• Pet Policy: Pets are not permitted. This is strictly enforced, with the exception of working Service Animals as defined by the ADA. Certified Support and Therapy Animals are not allowed.

• Smoking Policy: Fairway Forest Resort is a smoke free facility. If smoking occurs in the unit during your stay, a USD $500 cleaning fee will be billed to your account.

The Sapphire Valley area was great with lakes and mountain views. The condo was clean but stuffie like it had been closed up a long time. Had lots of spiders and webs. Overall it was a good trip.

Townhouse was outdated but very clean, peaceful

The townhouse itself was clean, it's old but they try to keep it up. Located on the golf course. We went there for the lake, which is about 1 away from the accommodation. Lake was great, it was busy, but staff was helpful and pleasant. It's very peaceful there, no motor boats allowed. You can also kayak to a waterfall. Would be back again

Comfortable and clean place to stay

We enjoyed our visit to this region of NC. It was a clean and comfortable place to stay. We would have liked more clear information about where to find the community pool, etc., as well as the lake with paddle board and kayak rentals. We didn't end up persuing the use of these amenities as we hiked and shopped and dined and ran out of time. But it still would have been nice to know where it all was. Otherwise, a great visit and I recommend this rental. Thanks.

Great place to stay!

We lucked out finding this 2 bedroom condo for our family of 6. It was the only thing available on short notice and I was skeptical. Great location in Sapphire! Easy access to Cashiers, Highlands, state parks, waterfalls and more! The lake you get to use as part of your amenities was awesome. Make sure you go there! We visited the pool 1 day. That would be fun for younger kids. Condo had everything we needed. Not fancy, but clean and comfortable. The restaurant on site was very good and my boys enjoyed playing golf onsite too. Best restaurant in town was Micas. We ate there twice.

Nice short accommodation

The rooms are spacious and large and fit our needs. It is basically like a townhouse with 2 levels. The check-in process needs improvement. There is hardly any cell coverage in the area, so you have no idea when room are you going to be ready. We arrived at 1:00 PM and they told us the room should be ready in an hour or 2, but after coming back at 3:30 our room was still not ready. The unit and property is dated, but that would be fine if they update the carpet, and or other items like 2-pane window which you could not see through.

Beware of hidden fees and not being heard

At check in we were surprised by a fee for the internet that was listed under amenities. It was not ever listed on my device. I handed my phone to the office manager and he agreed it was not there. I just needed this company to at least acknowledge their error but they just went around in circles with no solution or help. They were rather rude and I will never use this company again. The furnishing we're very dated and poor low quality paper products.

Read listing carefully - all resort amenities are almost 2 miles curvy mountain roads away

We were looking forward to a quiet mountain getaway and booked this because of the pool, jaccuzi, Sauna, table tennis, cute little mountain lake pictured etc. The ad wording and photos are misleading because they truly made me think the community building and lake to rent a paddle board is on the property, and not a 2 miles drive down an extremely winded mountain road in a different community. Upon arrival the resort staff themselves were very accommodating, but could not help us resolve our complaint. They did not list this. We just wanted to leave, we were so disappointed after driving for 5 hours. We called the group that actually listed this and got a real person on the phone Friday afternoon. But, he could also not address our complaint, because he has this listing from a third party 'Supplier', who already went home for the weekend. We are still waiting for somebody to call and address this, but they don't care. Next time I will only book with a real person. We paid so much more because we thought the resort amenities were on the property, only to be awoken by golfers and lawn mowers shortly after sunrise, with a ticket to a pool miles away. We left a day early, and the resort reimbursed the last day resort fee. I can not book with confidence if the person who is responsible for this listing can not be reached. The resort staff was very nice though and I would still recommend this if you don't mind driving your car back and forth all the time. And I would book directly with the host.

Property was clean, well equipped and furnished. We really enjoyed almost everything about our stay. Two minor irritants: we arrived after dark and the map given us was so inadequately landmarked that we had to go back to the check-in desk and tell them we could not find the property. One of the guys offered to have us follow him to our cabin, which was great of him to offer. Also, I detest Resort Fees. Why not be more honest about the overall charges and build the resort fee into the daily charge cost.

Get a hotel instead!

The property description is very misleading! It looks nice from the outside but when you step in it's extremely dated and in need of some serious repairs. For the money I spent, I could have gotten a five star hotel instead. It was almost 80 degrees inside the cottage and smelled really musty. They finally fixed the AC on the last night we were there. The so called "amenities" they offer......you pay a daily fee for amenities that you may or may not be able to use due to the waiting list to use them. The whole experience, starting from check in was definitely not worth the money spent. We will not stay here again!

Had to call to make sure we got the correct place that was on the web site. The condo was located where we wanted. Needs to be updated very old. Did not care for the black mold in the master bathroom. This is the second time renting from this group and both times there was black mold in the master bathroom

Can’t control Covid19i

Had to make some sacrifices due to COVID. Would like to have rented clubs and played 18 but the course would not take the risk and do club rentals. Makes no sense because carts are rented out but can’t wipe off clubs. If you want to rent paddles or fishing poles that’s plenty ok at pet hour rates.
