The Mission is a warm, welcoming and comfortable home situated in the unique and historic Methodist Encampment neighborhood. As you sit on the large patio enjoying the gardens and native wildlife, you will get the feeling of being at a retreat, even though the heart of Kerrville is just minutes away. The home boasts artful craftsmanship in every detail and is well furnished and stocked with practical items to make your stay as enjoyable, convenient and homey as possible.
You enter The Mission from the front patio into a bright, open-concept living space with a small dining area and a well-stocked kitchen adjoining. Off of the main living space is a full bathroom that will be stocked with fresh towels. The Mission would comfortably sleep up to four adults. The home has two bedrooms. The first bedroom has a queen size bed and a rather large closet with hanging space. The second bedroom has a queen size bed, a letter desk and a smaller closet with a few shelves available. There is sufficient parking for 3 or more cars in the rock driveway and possibly more available spaces along the road. In the living room, there is a Roku smart TV that has Spectrum TV for channel flipping and free streaming channels preloaded, allowing you to access shows, movies and music. Guests may also load their own subscription channels such as netflix.
If you venture outdoors, there's even more to enjoy. Right out the front door is a wonderful patio with a fire pit, table and seating, a great space for relaxing, having your morning coffee, reading, visiting, or having a meal or cocktails. The yard is beautifully landscaped with mostly native, edible and medicinal plants, and it's common to see many birds, squirrels, deer, and occasionally other wildlife visiting the property. Children and adults alike may have fun swinging on the red swing in the front yard. The neighborhood's windy streets are popular with walkers. If you take a stroll around the neighborhood, you will be rewarded with hill-top views, look at many unique homes and limestone rock work. The Methodist Encampment neighborhood is an eclectic mix of old and new, and home to many artists, musicians and writers, among others. It's common to see neighbors out talking with each other or getting together on someone's patio for food, drinks, fellowship and music.

In less than a 5 minute drive, you can reach grocery stores (H-E-B and Walmart Super Center), shopping, restaurants, the Guadalupe River, The River Trail, parks, and the Salvation Army Kroc Center (for sports, exercise and recreation) and churches.
In a 10-15 minute drive, you can reach most any other part of Kerrville, including the hospital, downtown shopping, the mall, Riverside Nature Center, Kerrville Farmer's Market, Playhouse 2000/Callioux Theater, antique and thrift shops and galleries. Kerrville is home to some outstanding festivals including the Kerrville Folk Festival, Kerrville Fall Music Festival and Kerrville Chalk Festival, as well as some trade fairs.
