This charming 4-bedroom Barbadian house with rustic charm is located on one of the finest white sand beaches in Barbados. There is also a small cottage on the property which provides a 5th bedroom and 4th bathroom which will be available for large parties for 9+ persons and is an additional charge. The main house is two story's and features the best of Caribbean coastline on your doorstep. The wide covered patio, expansive gardens, pristine pool and pool deck, provide a delightful area for entertaining. Located in close proximity to many south coast amenities such as St. Lawrence Gap, and is also within walking distance to the famous Oistins Fish Festival.

The villa is located on one of the most beautiful beaches in Barbados, called Maxwell Beach, where you can walk 1000ft of white sand.

A supermarket is located approximately a 10 minute walk or 3 minute drive away from the home.

Perfect location

As previously mentioned, the Glendale House is a bit dated but served our needs. The location is perfect & the host promptly replied to all of our inquiries. We enjoyed our stay.

Glendale House Visit

This property has a great pool and a wonderful view of the sea. The house is dated but it has large rooms and a bathroom for every bedroom. The upstairs bedroom has a fantastic view with a balcony area. We loved our stay at Glendale House and hopefully will return in the future. It's a great house for a family to vacation.

Could use some attention to detail, kitchen appliances need a good cleaning, one toilet wouldn’t flush, maintenance never called back when we left a message. Outdoor furniture worn pretty good……..a bbq would have been nice!

Beautiful Beach Setting

The listing is accurate. This is an older property which means it has more space and garden than newer modern, therefore, the grounds and gardens are amazing and maintained all though our holiday. Beautiful mature trees and wonferful birds to watch. The house is self, would have been state of the art in 1980 but has not been renovated. I knew that from the photo's so my expectations were met. The view from upstairs bedroom is stunning and waking up to a super view. Air con worked ok in most rooms, the kitchen had very dated applicances and a miss match of plates, knifes and forks - hard to find but if you kept hunting you just about find something useable. The house was beach front which has it's pro's and cons. The Con was the very low wall which mean;t it was easy for anyone to jump from the beach into our garden - and on one occasion they did ! We did get help from secruity guard from the hotel next which is affliated but they were very relaxed and did not deter the intruder. Eventually I contacted the villa manager as we felt very anxious and like we could not stay in the garden as we felt so threatended. Eventually a more senior security person asked them to leave. It was resolved and did not happen again but we did feel concerned for the rest of our stay. Area near buy: Takeaway chinese, couple of resturants there were not open as far as we could see ( guess due to covid) , supermarket within short drive or 15 min walk. Both sides of the property have hotels - one all inclusive which is linked to the villa and you can pay for a day pass between 10am and 6pm to have food, drink and use the reosrt and the other side has a resturant but we did not try it.
