Elegant Victorian Ocean Grove home sleeps 6 and features a quintessential Ocean Grove front porch with cushioned rockers, 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths and wrap-around outdoor space.

The home is situated on a lot-and-a-half with a large fenced side yard and is just:
3 blocks to the Ocean
1 block to the Great Auditorium
1/2 block to Main Avenue and local shopping
3 blocks to Asbury Park's shopping and entertainment

The fenced-in outdoor space has a wrap-a-round patio with outdoor lounge and dining furniture, a gas grill and a full-sized, hot/cold outdoor shower!

Peaceful, quiet Ocean Grove is a perfect summer destination. Situated perfectly close to the beach, the Great Auditorium, Main Avenue as well as a few short blocks to Asbury Park and all its action makes for a perfect vacation spot.

What makes this house unique:
We fell in love with this house mostly because of its large outdoor space which, coming from the city, we really coveted! There are not many homes in town with this much private outdoor space and there's nothing lovelier than sitting out back in the garden, sipping an iced tea and just...relaxing. The house itself also has lovely features such as beautiful wide plank hardwood floors, a Juliet porch off the front bedroom and a full front porch with rockers - perfect for watching the world go by...

PLEASE NOTE: our check in/out window is between 10am and 4pm SATURDAY-SATURDAY ONLY to allow for deep cleaning (check-in at 4pm, check-out at 10am). You are welcome to leave bags, etc. no earlier than noon the day of your check-in and head to the beach until 4pm.

A week in Ocean Grove

We all enjoyed our visit..beach within walking distance. Learned more about the history of Ocean Grove by taking the walking tour sponsored by the OG Historical Society. Just fascinating. The town has a unique charm.

Great place for the family!

We loved our stay at Jim’s home. The location is awesome- close to the beach, town, and activities. The home has plenty of space, and everything we needed. We really enjoyed the charming front porch and backyard, beach passes and chairs, etc. We'd definitely stay there again on a visit to Ocean Grove.

We discovered Ocean Grove thanks to a National Geographic article I read (I used to have a collection in the hundreds) back in the early 2000s. We were taking a weekend day trip and happened upon it right as the tents were being put up and the rest is history! Stop by the historical society to read the article...it's adorable - just like our town!

Why they chose this property

Having bought our home just as Asbury Park changing its character, we have had the great fortune of watching it blossom into an internationally recognized resort city by the sea - so much to do just 3 blocks away! And being able to return home to the peaceful "Mayberry-like" streets of Ocean Grove is like a dream come true.

What makes this property unique

This house is a unique layout - a two family that has a fully separate one-bedroom apartment on the third floor with side entrance where the owner vacations in the summer. We purchased this house specifically for this reason back in 2009 and used the home exclusively as a vacation rental when we lived in NYC - enjoying over a decade of fabulous summers. When our family moved down full time in 2015 we continued to accommodate guests in the main house each summer - many returnees and some now good friends!

In the winter we move back downstairs and host winter tenants in the apartment, so we can fully testify to the fact that you will likely not even know anyone is there thanks to the unique layout. Our guests get the additional comfort of knowing the landlord is on site and available to assist with any questions or problems should they arise. There are two separate entrances and the porch is all yours to watch the world go by.

As we had to set up a new account here due to a security breach, we lost some of our online reviews, but are happy to provide references upon request and usually available by phone.
