Thorough Enjoyment

Our group stayed at the house for a week. The house is as advertised, very comfortable and very well stocked. The owner was available and very easy to communicate with (even late night while having a VRBO booking glitch). Definitely will stay again!

Convenient and well equipped house!

We loved our stay. This house is so great for kids, with tons of games, double bunk beds, and beach toys and chairs. We had everything we needed and were very comfortable. The house was very clean. Views were also beautiful..

Great stay for local family

We live in Galveston and like to get a beach house every once in a while for a staycation. This house was great and served our needs very well. The location is great and close to the city so if you want to get in to hit a restaurant or other amenity this is a great location. The house itself was well appointed and clean - there were games, movies, and everything you need for a good beach setup. Working with the host was easy and she helped make our stay excellent. I hope to stay here again in the future.

Relaxing Vacay

The property was really close to the beach. Great views. It rained a few days while we were there, but they had a ton of board games, card games, and puzzles. We got to take our beagle with us to show him the ocean for his first time. It’s nice they are dog friendly. They provided a lovely bottle of wine for me and my husband. The hosts Julie and Laurance were very kind and attentive. I would recommend this place to others. It was a 10/10 experience.

Staying at Xanadu Cottage was like stepping into a cozy dream!

From the moment we walked in, we were enveloped in warmth and comfort. The kids (even the 17-year-old) were instantly captivated by the cabinet full of top-tier board games. Watching them bond and laugh together was pure magic, making memories we’ll cherish forever. Julie, our host, was fantastic, with communication that made everything a breeze. The view of the beach? Simply breathtaking. Waking up to those ocean waves was like having front-row seats to God's best show. The beds were so comfortable we had to drag ourselves out each morning, and those cuddle blankets? They were a total game-changer! The entire house was a big, comfy hug that made our stay unforgettable.

Wondderful Winter Retreat

Decided to spend my birthday at the beach this year with the family and family dog. This place is a little gem. The house was exactly as expected and so was the wonderful view of the beach. The deck and seating was great for enjoying a cup of coffee outside in the morning or a glass of wine at night. In the afternoons, we enjoyed going for long walks on the beach with the dog. Perfect! We loved our stay and Julie was a very attentive host. Our last night, the power went out due to high winds and freezing weather, but the place was well-stocked with flashlights and extra blankets to get us through the cold night. Julie kept us informed of any status changes of the repair to the power until we left the next morning. We would definitely come back again! ...maybe just not during a freak arctic blast. 😂

What a place! Decorated beautifully and had everything extra we needed during our stay! Even a pack and play and high chair for my baby. Beautiful views from the porch and host was extremely responsive and welcoming. Just a short walk to the beach and we can’t wait to stay here again!

Wonderful location basically on the beach and out of the way from the busy part of Galveston, yet still close enough to do everything we wanted. Communication was excellent with our little ac hiccup, which was quickly handled. Perfect Family Beach Getaway – Thoughtfully Stocked & Steps from the SandWe spent Labor Day weekend at this beautiful beach house in Galveston and had a fantastic stay! We're a family of four, and this was our first time at the property — but definitely not our last.The home was spotlessly clean and exactly as described. Just one house away from the beach, the location couldn’t be more convenient. Our favorite feature was the deck, where we relaxed and soaked up the ocean air.Inside, the house was incredibly comfortable — from the cozy beds and furniture to the amazingly well-stocked kitchen, which went above and beyond our expectations. What really stood out was how thoughtfully equipped the house was: plenty of towels, games for the family, and beach accessories like a cooler, chairs, and a beach umbrella. You can tell the hosts have put a lot of care into making guests feel at home.Everything worked great — from the Wi-Fi to the AC — and the area felt very safe and quiet. Communication with the host was excellent throughout, though we didn’t need anything during the stay because everything was so well-prepared.We’ve already recommended this place to friends and family. It’s the kind of beach rental that truly makes your trip easier and more enjoyable. We’d absolutely stay here again!

A wonderful place to stay. Steps from the beach. The cottage is well stocked and decorated tastefully. The owner makes sure yiu have everything you need. The fresh flowers were a welcoming touch. Memorial Day weekend

Fabulous extended weekend stay at a quaint beach house with an ocean view. Only steps away from Bermuda Beach. The house was well appointed.The property was awesome, but the host was more awesome! She had everything one would need to entertain guests and she was very welcoming. Excellent stay I would definitely recommend this property.

Fantastic Beach House

The house is clean and well maintained. It comes with lots of amenities (everything you would want for the beach, closet of toys and games, a grill and more). It is steps from the beach. The hosts are also extremely helpful and accommodating. Easily the best VRBO hosts I have worked with.

Everything was wonderful!

We really enjoyed our stay. The host responds very quickly to all inquiries and is very easy to work with. They left lots of extras in the house for us like snacks, a bottle of wine, coffee and kitchen staples in the refrigerator. The house was clean and comfortable. There's an amazing view and a very short walk to the beach. We would definitely stay at this location again.

Labor Day

We rented over the Labor Day Weekend and it was the perfect weekend. We were visiting our son who attends A&M Galveston. The house was perfect for our family of 7. The kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast and lunch! Bathroom were well stocked. The patio view was breathtaking. We cannot wait to go back!

Steps to the beach!

We loved our stay here. Very nice house with a great deck and awesome views. Wonderful communication with the host. Everything thing you need is already there. Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Comfy beds. You won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend.

Wonderful

We loved this beach house for our family getaway. It had all the things we needed even for our baby and beach items. Our favorite part was the very close proximity to Bahama Beach. We loved having a temperature controlled outdoor shower for being able to rinse off after being at the beach. Julie was very responsive and accommodating. We will stay here again when we come back to Galveston.

Perfect Get Away

Our stay at this quant was perfect. Our host had left us a bottle of wine and a stocked fridge, with water and soft drinks, which was well above and beyond most places. the arrival time listed and exit times where the main reason we came here versus other places and our host allowed us to come earlier and leave later still. Why they chose this property

Bermuda Beach is lovely smaller beach community, the residents and beach home owners do a lot to keep it a beautiful family orientated location. There is a smaller parking area on the beach as you drive in but the rest of the beach is vehicle free.
