This house was very comfortable for our stay. The beds were a bit soft and squeaky, but the decorations and furnishings were very nice. The yard was great for the kids to get outside and run around; we had a fire and played cornhole and had the best time. Close walk to the main drag. Blanco is such a great place. Highly recommend this cute house!
This cute, super stylish, uber clean property with comfy beds, nice kitchen and outside area was perfect for our stay during our son's wedding weekend. The house is just a short walk to the square with great restaurants, bars, close to gelato and coffee shops! We have only wonderful things to say about this location and the lil house! Loved our stay 100 percent.
Great house! Absolutely adorable! Had everything we needed!!

Wonderful stay
The property had everything we needed and as it had been presented online. Comfortable beds, lots of nice towels and very well working A/C for our temps in Texas. Walking distance to the downtown square where all the restaurants and shops are. Perfect for when they have their festivals with your own parking. Will come back.
It was just what we needed. Cold AC was great and one bathroom worked just fine for 5 people. Easy and nice walk to the square.

Back in the 50’s again!
Refreshing place to stay in the hill country. Clean and fresh home. Loved the decor. Beds were comphy. Blanco a sweet thriving small town. Good food to choose from, shopping and lots of history to hear from merchants. ♥️

Retro and fun
Kitchen, living, dining, bath look like 1950s hill country house. This is a good thing. It is clean and well maintained and renovated but preserved the old school look.
Overall a modern updated place that looks like the 1950s very well done.

PERFECT charming weekend getaway
WOW! This place was so much fun. We loved the retro furnishings and cooked on the cool stove. It was definitely before my time so I HAD to try it out! You can walk to all the shops on the square from here too. The cool weather made it even better! We didn't detect any foul smell at all like the last review had mentioned, so I would assume the owner fixed it. It smelled clean and fresh! The beds were comfy and we had a nice relaxing stay. We would definitely recommend this place and will be back next time we visit Blanco!
Location good; quiet neighborhood; quick access to downtown.
However, the queen bed drops 4 inches in the middle after just one minute of laying down....no rest after a long day. the next night I had to sleep in the BR#2 on a twin bed which was sufficient for a decent sleep.
The Futon in the living room...I understand its purpose, it's just not good for relaxing/TV viewing.
The yard was not mowed and the bushes were not trimmed, and what's with the dead tree?
Strange thing...there were about 20 dead flies on the bathroom floor and tub???Weird!
Disappointed.

Hi Harry, we take guest feedback seriously and passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following: - I am sorry to hear that your stay was disappointing. I’d like to address your issues directly. The lawn care could not be done the week prior to your trip because we had several days of rain, as you also experienced during your 2-night stay. It was in fact, done on Monday, which was the first dry day to accomplish it. Not much we can do to change the weather.- In regard to the dead tree, it is under the care of an arborist. Our area is in the midst of the worst drought in history, which followed an unprecedented freeze. Many trees in our region are in “limbo” and are being watched for signs of life before being removed. This is one of those trees.- I am disappointed you did not contact me about the issue with the bed. I went to check on it immediately after receiving your review to investigate. It appears one of the leg braces needed to be adjusted. I am sad to learn that you had a poor night's sleep. This was something we could have corrected in 1 minute, had you contacted us, as requested if you had any issues. Ironically, the guest who immediately followed you (before I received your review) left a lovely review in our book about how clean the place was and how comfortable the beds were. So clearly it was not an issue for everyone. - I don’t know anything about dead flies. I can’t even say that I have seen live flies in the house. So yes, I would say this is very weird.- Again, I am sorry to hear you had a disappointing stay. I would question if it was indeed a 2-star stay, given many of the issues were either easily resolvable, personal preferences, or beyond our control. Perhaps a 4-star review would be more appropriate given your feedback? We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.
Great little spot to explore Blanco and the Hill Country
Came in with a group of friends from Austin to spend a quiet weekend in Blanco. The house was perfect for our needs. It comfortably slept four guys and provided enough space for us to hang out in the living area together in the evening and morning.
AC and heat worked well, bathroom was clean, and we had plenty of hot water.
The location was a quick drive to Real Ale (though we could have walked if we were so inclined) and to Blanco State Park, and a short walk to food, drink, and shops downtown.
The only thing I'd note is that if you have a louder group (or if you want more privacy for yourself) you might consider renting the entire house rather than just one unit, as you could easily hear the people in the other unit while in our living room. This wasn't a problem for us — and not much different than staying in a hotel room with a connecting door to the next room — but it's worth noting for anyone who might not be comfortable hearing or being heard by neighbors under the same roof.
Fantastic and fun original fifties decor. Comfortable, spacious, and bright. Very well equipped. Friendly, responsive owners. A great quiet retreat after busy days exploring Austin, San Antonio, Hill towns, music venues, etc. We had a wonderful stay!
I absolutely love Blanco. It’s a great place to stay. It’s got lots of eating options, and it’s a nice central location. The house was perfect. It’s hard to find a two bedroom with 3 beds. Clean, beautiful and everything we needed for three sisters.
We loved our time here. It is so cute and well taken care of, it was a treat to get away from the city and stay here. The backyard was nice and peaceful to hang out at night, the furniture inside was adorable and everything was just perfect for our group! Thank you!
Had a wonderful, quiet, relaxing trip with my mom and sister. We had a great time exploring different wineries and tasting rooms in the Hill country. The property was fantastic, the food in Blanco is excellent, and we look forward to going back!
We loved this little house. It was perfect for our family of four: many walkable activities, short drives to several, and very reasonable 30 min drives to even more Hill Country attractions. We were in the area for a family wedding, but enjoyed the location as a hub - and a relaxing place to rest! - during our stay. Perfect!

Great place/loved it!
A quiet, clean and well done little house for a home away from home. It was a 32 year anniversary get away for my husband and I and we didn’t want to leave! I’m hoping we can have another visit soon. Thanks for the extra coffee, the snacks and the attention to detail all over the house. It was simply a pleasure!
The house was super cute and host went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay! Location was so convenient to Main St. and not a far drive to great wineries.

Betty B's in Blanco is the place to stay!
Came to Blanco for several days and were lucky enough to get to stay at the "city house". This place was perfect for my wife and I. It was close to the square, the park and places to eat. The house was spotless! Amy had the place stocked with snacks, a couple of local beers and some wine. Lots of coffee, too. There was a nice deck out back with a porch swing to sit on. The house was just a really cool retro place that was super comfortable and meticulously clean. Cheers to the cleaning crew. Would definitely stay again!
