We had a wonderful time staying in this super sweet home. It was very clean, which is top on my priority list. The home felt very welcoming as soon as you drive in. The cute white picket fence that lights up at night is great. The interior is comfortable, inviting and well maintained. The check-in instructions were easy to follow and check-out was a breeze. Karen, the host, was very nice. She was quick to respond with any questions we had from the beginning of our booking. This is a great place to stay!
The host was quick to respond and there if we needed anything. House was clean and fully stocked kitchen. No need to bring extras like other rentals. Will definitely stay here again. Best in Alamosa
Such a great place to stay & Karen was wonderful!! So kind and accommodating, really appreciated her communication style. The only down sides were that the coffee machine didn’t work (it was very sluggish and wasn’t able to brew a whole pot) so we had to plan around that, and the water/ice machine in the fridge needs to be cleaned (the spout) and the filter changed (it beeped every time we used it). Easy things to work around though, and it was such a large & beautiful space to share with several friends. We hosted a game night on the kitchen table and it really was perfect!! Thanks for making this trip great Karen!
We had a lovely stay in this beautiful home. The beds were very comfortable and the home was very clean. Karen was a wonderful host. We will definitely be back!
We enjoyed our time here! The beds were very comfortable and everything we could need was provided. Karen was attentive to ensure we were well taken care of. We’d stay here again.

Thank you Jenni. You all we wonderful guests. Please come again.
Quiet, clean, comfortable, well-located. This house worked well for our 4-day visit to the Alamosa area. Kitchen is well equipped, upstairs AC cooled well (and we hardly needed it). Host was responsive--overall, great!
The house was just perfect for us and we wish we had booked an additional night. It was clean, spacious, well stocked and comfortable. We did the Cumbres & Toltec Railway trip and this was a convenient stay for us. We highly recommend this wonderful home.
First impression was that the entire home was very clean. The 3 King bedrooms were perfect for 3 adult couples. We had plenty of space to spread out, enjoyed making breakfasts in the kitchen, and was just a short ride into Alamosa for supplies. Karen (host) provided excellent, clear instructions on accessing the property and other details about the amenities, and shared recommendations on restaurants! Overall, we were very comfortable in this home, and can't think of anything that was missing!
The check in process needs to be updated on her site. First off, the property has 2 entrances, A and B, but she doesn't tell you which you are in. Second, there is NO lock box on the door, just a regular key. Third, there was NO key in the porch lock box, and we couldn't reach the owner to access the house. We called VRBO to ask for help and they couldn't reach the owner either. VRBO said they would refund our money, but we had a group of 6 and it was evening and everything was booked.... so very frustrating. Finally the owner came back and we were able to get into the house. Also, the barn door for one of the bedrooms upstairs fell off it's rails and nearly landed on our 81 yr old friend. VEry scary; however, the owners friends was very nice and took away heavy door and hung a curtain up so she had some privacy. Probably wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, although it was clean.
We had a wonderful experience. Karen is an awesome hostess. The house was perfect for us and well supplied with essentials. We highly recommend this property and will definitely go back.
Really nicely equipped and clean home. My family of 5 fit easily. Has everything in the kitchen we needed for a large dinner for 10. It is about 40 minutes to the Sand Dunes. Karen communicated really well. No problems, would rent again.
The house was great, lots of nice amenities for adults and kids, very clean, and the hosts were incredibly gracious and responsive (Karen even called us after we forgot a bag and was willing to drive to us and drop it off). Would certainly stay again.

What makes this property unique
My home is located in a quiet friendly and safe neighborhood, just a few minutes drive to Walmart, several restaurants, grocery stores and gas stations. There is a small playground with a basket court down the street. The Great Sand Dunes National Park & Preserve is 35 miles away. There are 2 ski area's nearby. Wolf Creek is 55 mi. Monarch Mountain is 95 mi. Other attractions include Zappata Falls only 35 mi and Penetente Canyon is 42 mi.
The homes second story allows beautiful views of the sun setting on Mt. Blanca, causing the snow capped mountain top to appear pink.
Mt. Blanca is part of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains range and is one of the longest mountain chains on Earth. They stretch from Poncha Pass, Colorado, in the north to Glorieta Pass, New Mexico, in the south. There are ten peaks over 14,000' high in the range and more than two dozen over 13,000'.
