Disliked: Amenities
Great location to the beach and not far from food and convenience items. We had four in our party and that seemed a little crowded. The futon was a terrible place to sleep, one person ended up on the floor. I did request extra blankets and only found an old throw and comforter, the owner did not respond to this request. Our pillows could have been fresher also. The queen bed was incredibly soft, and was a relief compared to the futon. Other than sleeping arrangements this was a cozy place for late season travelers.
Cute little condo within a short walk from everything. Quiet and clean. Would recommend!

Great location and perfect size for a small family. Short walk to the beach, pier, shopping & amusement park. Property was clean and convenient - we would definitely recommend!
Figuring out which lockbox held our keys was the only problem we had with this stay. Most others lockboxes were marked with the apt. number but ours was not and there were a couple of lockboxes to choose from.
The place was cute! Plenty of room for two people. If you are a larger person, the spiral staircase may be difficult for you. Great area. We were there in off season but it was still a very nice place to stay and see the water.

Everything was special. We had an amazing vacation!
The pros - they absolutely outweigh the cons!
A quick walk to the Beach, Palace Playground and Pier of OOB. So much fun for kids in particular. From door to sand, it was maybe a 10 minute walk with gear (bring a wagon or similar if you have little kids).
Unit was clean.
Centrally located in OOB and easy to get to main road for in and out of town
Good size for a couple or small family.
Windows are East facing which make for pretty nice views
We had worries about the fridge cooling (it ended up being fine) and the owners were VERY responsive to concerns and followed up quickly to replace a toaster.
Great pricing compared to other rentals in the area.
The cons: NONE were deal breakers nor made me regret renting this unit.
Kitchen had most of the basics, but is in need of an inventory check i.e. only 1 wine glass, lacking a baking dish (I wanted to heat up chicken and had to use a disposable foil pan), etc.
Building itself is a bit dated
Pillows were not comfortable - bring your own.
Windows are East facing which creates early morning sun so curtains over the blinds are needed - we hung our Turkish (lightweight) towels over the windows which helped with the 6am sun a bit.
No beach towels or chairs provided. Although at this price point, that's not a huge deal, but it made for a more crowded car for us to bring our own beach chairs...
FYI- Anyone who complains about the train isn't being fair. ANY home, condo or hotel in OOB within 5 blocks of the pier and Palace Playground are going to hear that train and its whistle at the crossing. No way around it. That being said, heavier curtains that could also block early morning light could help with the train noise - that 3/4am train definitely stinks, but it didn't wake my kids sleeping on the futon...the a/c unit in that room was louder in a helpful/white noise kind of way.
The reason that we would not rent here again is that I have young teens, and this unit was already a bit small for us, and since kids grow, we'd likely outgrow this square footage by next year. For a couple or a family with elementary aged kids, etc. it is a great location to get a feel for the area and enjoy the amusement park and beach without breaking the bank.
This property was great. It was perfect for my daughter and I. We wanted to be close to beach and pier. Property was very clean which we appreciated. We did hear train going by but this would not stop us from renting again. It was nice to be able to see beach from the bedroom window. Will definitely rent again.
This little unit is the perfect location in old Orchard Beach! Just a short walking distance to the beach, easy access to Amtrak and local buses. The only thing we found misleading was it stated there were two bathrooms and there is only one. Owners were very easy to communicate with and we would stay there again.

Loved being a block and a half away from the beach and being able to see the water out the window. Having pictures added to show the parking lot and key box and actual front entrance that the key goes to for the building can be helpful to future people as the gps gets you to the street but not to where the parking entrance is to. Other than that property was clean and exactly what we needed for our stay would recommend to anyone that doesn't have a challenge with using stairs!
We had a great stay in Old Orchard Beach. Unit is small but comfortable, and location is perfect if you want a short walk to the pier and local shops/restaurants/beach. Alex and Elena were quick to respond and very accommodating.
Me and 3 friends in our 40’s stayed for 4 nights. The place is small but exactly what you see in the photos. Nothing fancy but great location if you love the beach. It is next to train tracks and we heard the train a couple of times at night. So it’s noisy but it didn’t really bother us. I used ear plugs at night. The kitchen was limited to supplies so bring stuff that you have to have.
