We had a great time in Highlands! The house was great. The beds were so comfortable! The kitchen was well stocked with basic needs, and we had plenty of trash bags and laundry pods. Becky was great! She was very prompt to respond to any and all questions, and she provided us with Great recommendations on local attractions and great restaurants. We look forward to visiting again very soon.

We really enjoyed our stay at Silver Lining. The house is beautiful, very comfortable and perfect for a getaway in the mountains. The gas fireplace was a lovely treat on cool evenings. The house is a short drive from downtown Highlands with lots of options for restaurants and shops. The hosts are very attentive and quick to respond to questions and they offered lots of wonderful suggestions on restaurants and things to do. We would definitely stay here again.

Thanksgiving Retreat

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday week in this immaculate, cute and cozy cottage. it was perfect for our family (my wife and I, 87 yo parents and our Siberian Husky). the location was perfect and the accomodations were excellent. our host/hostess thought of everything that we needed to make our stay perfect. will make this a tradition!

This home is close to downtown Highlands with cozy fireplace and nice views from the deck. Becky made sure we had everything we needed and checked in with us occasionally. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Lovely and great location

The house is impeccably and tastefully appointed and furnished, but is also very comfortable. We were two couples and the bedroom and bath layouts provided great privacy. Downtown Highlands is very walkable or a 2 minute drive. The location is removed from road traffic and noise.

Our stay at silver lining was amazing. The house was like new with wonderful amenities and very comfortable, especially the beds. The owners were prompt in responding and very gracious. The location is perfect and so close and convenient to town. We will definitely be back for another visit.

Weekend Getaway with Daughter!

My 13yr old daughter and I came to the Highlands to shop, dine and hike for a long weekend. Silver lining is an excellent space , clean , inviting , comfortable and located perfectly! The owner was extremely helpful and responsive. Will look forward to coming back again… maybe with my son, who will hike more than shop!!

Peaceful Getaway

This property is immaculate and had everything we needed for a quiet weekend. Inside is well furnished and cozy. The porch was perfect for morning coffee and evening cocktails. The back yard and entryway are beautifully landscaped. We loved the hostas, Mtn laurel, moss and the big rocks. The location is perfect for popping into town for shopping and eating. We found several close by hiking opportunities. Host was quick and easy to communicate with. Check in/out was a breeze. Will definitely return!

Wonderful stay

It was a wonderful stay in the Highlands North Carolina. The house is perfect with two bedrooms, each with a king bed and a fantastic location where we could walk to town. We enjoyed having a full kitchen and access to a deck. Becky was easy to communicate with, and was truly a wonderful host. The house was very clean and looked to be recently renovated. It was a lovely stay and we will definitely be back. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a two bedroom in Highlands North Carolina. Becky offered us ideas of restaurants and places to hike all of which were perfect.

Heavenly Getaway in Highlands, NC

We just returned from a magical weekend at this Highlands,NC VRBO, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by the beauty and tranquility of the mountains. The cabin was spotless, tastefully decorated, and had all the cozy touches that made it feel like a home away from home. Having two master bedrooms is a plus since we were vacationing with another couple. The living area featured large windows that looked out over the forested hills, and we loved sipping coffee on the deck each morning while listening to the birds and quiet. The fireplace was perfect for the cool days and evenings, and the well-stocked kitchen made it easy to cook meals without ever wanting to leave.The location is ideal—peaceful and private, yet just a short drive from charming downtown Highlands with its boutique shops, restaurants, and waterfall hikes.Our hosts were incredibly responsive and thoughtful, leaving welcome detailed instructions for everything in the home. It’s clear they take pride in offering a top-notch experience.We’re already talking about booking another stay (this was our second stay in this home)-this rental truly made our weekend in Highlands one to remember. Highly recommended!

The best rental home I've ever stayed in...

While some rentals are "nice," you end up with furniture that is less than comfortable, etc. This home was exactly as shown, with amazingly comfortable furniture, extra comfy bed/linens, & a greatly appointed kitchen. Loved all the touches that we weren't expecting. Labeled light switches, cordless charging stations throughout, Bose speaker to play music from my phone, a french press, cordless small lights for the dining table like in fancy restaurants, a shower that is bigger than my current Main Bathroom in my condo & the FIREPLACE controlled via remote device! It was extra perfect & I so appreciate all that has clearly been considered for this place, not to mention that you've made this available to rent! And we loved the short 5 minute drive down the hills to Main St. Wowser!

My wife and I wanted to get out of Texas heat so we came for a couple weeks,, could not have been better. The property is very well maintained and brand new construction..and redone very nicely.
