Linda and family, so glad you enjoyed! You were wonderful guests and we would give our highest recommendations! Look forward to your return!
My daughter and I were very excited to return to Hosta la Vista again this summer and were not disappointed. The swimming was great and loons and ducks and a variety of birds came to visit us multiple times. The views of the lake are beautiful whether looking out through the large sliding glass doors or from the relaxing patio area. Kathy is a wonderful host and we look forward to returning again next summer to this little piece of paradise!!
We thoroughly enjoyed this rental, again!!! The property was immaculate. The location was great! Few people were around, so we could read and lounge and not worry about any noise. We wholeheartedly recommend this home to others. Kathy is a sweetheart!

A+ for exceptional location! We love it here! The dock is a great place to watch the boats go by. We saw plenty of loons. Their calls are magical! The property is extremely clean. The owner was very responsive to our needs. She wants her guests to have a truly wonderful experience. We certainly did!

So glad to have you return to Hosta La Vista again and again! There is nothing more rewarding than sharing our slice of Heaven! You are always welcome!
We had a lovely stay at this property. This 2 Bedroom 2 full bath has more than enough room for our family of 3 - it could definitely accommodate many more guests. Kitchen was well stocked. View of the lake was lovely. Radiant floors made this home warm and cozy. Someone was there to plow early each day we had snow. Close to Sunapee and great restaurants. The welcome book in the property had great information on the local area. We will definitely be back!!!

We welcome you back any time! Thanks for treating the property as your own home! So glad you enjoyed your week! Hope to see you next winter!
We had a great 1 week+ on Lake Sunapee. Kathy is a fabulous communicator as we added days twice. She also called to answer some other questions and was patient as we worked out the new A/C.
The dock was full sun most of the day, but there is always shade closer to the house. The no wake zone was perfect, and all people we met on the lake were kind and friendly. The kayaks were very comfortable, even with several bad backs!
The accommodations were as described, very clean and up to date! We will definitely rent here again!!!
We just completed a week at this house and we had a wonderful time. We brought our two young kids and did a ton of swimming (both at the house and the local beach, for which the owner provided a parking pass), frequented a local playground, and brought our boat so we could fish every day.
The house was clean and well-equipped and Kathy was very responsive both leading up to and during our trip. We felt very comfortable with the precautions and additional cleaning measures that have been put in place due to COVID, and even though we brought most of our groceries with us, we were also able to quickly and easily get an Instacart delivery for a couple of items we'd forgotten.
I'd highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing lake getaway. We'll certainly be back!

Kirsten, you are welcome back any time! The fish will be waiting1 :)
We enjoyed our week-long stay.Pros:- the property is right on the water, beautiful views- well stocked kitchen, everything you might need - variety of pots / utensils, oil, salt, even aluminum foil- peaceful creek but still near the rest of the lake- sandy entry to swim, perfect water temperature- 2 provided kayaks were fun to paddle around in- neighboring towns were charming and fun to explore, variety of restaurants, a grocery store and pharmacy. host provided helpful suggestions- nearby festivals throughout the year that are neat to check out if your stay overlaps, we enjoyed the Craftsmen Fair- the sunset Sunapee Cruise- friendly residents- perfect weather- enjoyed watching the variety of water sports - saw countless swimmers, kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, jetskis, everyone friendly and having a good time- visited by many birds, and fish swam right up by the dockCons:- we found the mattress uncomfortable ymmv- although the person who docks their boat is friendly and considerate, he came by with friends/family almost every day, bit disruptive to peace/privacy. not sure what "He will NOT be using the dock itself" is supposed to mean in the property description as leaving belongings on the dock and daily boarding was not what I expected- neighboring house is under construction, so frequent noise from power tools- wifi was spotty- no trash service, provided a pass to haul to the transfer station or carry home
We just departed from an 8 day stay at this gem in Job's Creek of Lake Sunapee. It had everything we needed for our family of 4! The house has an antique charm inside, along with spacious areas to entertain ourselves during the day, and comfortable sleeping quarters at night. The large dock outside made for a heavenly spot for us at all times of the day, starting from morning tea and fishing, to afternoon relaxation and swimming/kayaking. My kids loved kayaking down to the "cove" at the end of our inlet. The fish couldn't resist our hooks during our stay, which made for fun catch and release time for the kids and us. The sun is on the dock from first thing in the morning until around 5pm daily, which makes for a long day basking in the sun and floating around on this serene location away from the hustle and bustle of the main lake. The sandy walk in/out by the steps at the dock was fabulous. Restaurants were an easy enough drive from the house, although we loved being home so much that we shopped at Hanneford and cooked on the grill most eves. It really was a magical week for us, and we cannot wait to return in future years to come. Kathy was a wonderful host and could not have made our stay more pleasurable. We will have these awesome memories forever! Our only wish is that we would have booked an even longer trip.

Absolute pleasure to host Kristen and family! Gracious guests, wonderful communication and extremely respectful of the property. Would highly recommend without hesitation.
P.S. Glad the fish were biting!!!
This is our 3rd stay and we will be back again! So peaceful. Watching the loons was so much fun. The house is clean, well stocked and very comfortable.
Loved it all! We plan on coming back, for sure! Private , easy place to dock our boat, the patio was a great place to enjoy our coffee and watch the loons. I have never had a more relaxing vacation!
Kathy was a wonderful host, providing us with a lot of info about the hikes in the area and always available to answer our questions. We had use of 2 kayaks which we thoroughly enjoyed. The house was comfortable and cozy with an amazing view of the lake. Great vacation, easy access to so many hiking trails.
Hosta LA Vista was the perfect summer retreat for our family. It's perfectly situated in quiet and calm-watered Job's Creek. It allowed our 12 and 9y/o children to kayak on their own to the cove. The brand new dock is wide and beautiful, great for fishing, jumping into the crystal clear water, or soaking in the sun. There was also ample room to dock the pontoon boat we rented. There's also a gradual sandy entrance to the water, which really set this property apart. The house is comfortable and well appointed, had lots of games for the kids and even a foos ball table in the large laundry/mud room. What I loved most were the stunning views from anywhere in the house. We unplugged for the week, but the kids were never bored. We all loved it and we hadn't left yet, when they started asking if we could come back next year. Kathy was wonderful to work with- thank you for sharing your home with us!

Jennifer so glad you had a fabulous week! Your entire family were perfect guests! Thanks for your friendly communication and for taking such great care of the property during your stay!
This is an excellent property to rent. Job's Creek is a very nice and quiet location on the lake. It is perfect for kayaking, paddle boarding, or just swimming and playing around. The dock is quite large, great for diving off or for lounging. We were able to dock a 19' speedboat with no problem, and also have a bit of room to tie up a sunfish sailboat (we had to kind of anchor it off to the side, but it was easy and the cove is so quiet, there are no waves).
The rental itself is also excellent. It is bigger than we expected, with a "laundry room" area that i could be used as a work area if needed (we stayed for a few weeks - so it was needed). Everything was new and in good condition..
Kathy and Dave were also great. Very quick to get back to us and help when little things came up (like locking ourselves out).
Just a wonderful experience all around.

Jon, you and your family were our first "month long" guests and it was a pleasure having you! So glad you were able to enjoy the property and area in so many ways! Thanks for your communication and for treating our home as if it were your own!
My family had a wonderful time at this lovely home. It had everything we needed. It was very clean. The lake water was warm and had a walk in sandy area. The bedrooms have ceiling fans which kept us cool plus an additional fan was provided.
The owners were very kind and easy to work with. Lake neighbors shot off fireworks on the 4th and it was beautiful to watch over the water. No problems with anything in the house during our week.

Highest recommendations for this renter. Impeccably respectful of entire property.
Very nice property right on the lake. Stayed in late June and the lake temperatures were perfect for swimming and kayaking. Really good space for a family of 4. Not cavernous but room enough for folks to be on the couches while others play cards at the table (in the main living area). Bedrooms were comfortable and stove, grill and laundry all worked great. The use of the kayaks was fantastic and the dock is brand new - perfect for jumping and diving. We fished every day and caught smallmouth, largemouth, pickerel and a ton of rock bass. About an hour from Winni and some other lakes if you're looking to get out and about.

Thanks Don! It was a pleasure hosting your family! So pleased the boys were able to hook some summer fish!
My family and I absolutely loved our stay on West Shore Road. The house was immaculately clean, well furnished and ideally set off Fernwood Point. We grilled several meals and enjoyed the views from our patio area. We also used the kayaks inside the inlet as well as in the greater lake area. We would definitely return for another week.
