We had an amazing time here with our family and so happy that we could bring our dog with us! The house is very comfortable and we loved the huge wrap around porch and view of the sunsets! The neighborhood Makonikey beach and Lambert's Cove beach are perfect for avoiding the crowds. The owner and property manager were so accommodating and helpful. This is a must stay!

We really enjoyed our stay in West Tisbury. The location was perfect and the setup of the house was great for my wife and I. It’s dog friendly which was great for our two dogs. There is a beach walking distance from the house that was perfect for relaxing and the neighborhood was very nice overall.
BEAUTIFUL HOME!!!! Lovely home both inside and out!!! LOVED the many porches, to watch nature & overlook the water. The owner & caretakers couldn’t be more helpful with pertinent info!!!WOULD ABSOLUTELY RENT THIS HOME AGAIN, in a HEARTBEAT ‼

Thank you so much! So happy you enjoyed the home !
My husband and I and our adult children enjoyed our stay! It's off the beaten path, but very accessible to everything, including beaches. It's also a short walk to a private beach. We loved the veranda , which was perfect for relaxing and reading. The location was very peaceful and woodsy... trees everywhere, which we loved. We will return!

Thank you so much for the review... so happy you enjoyed the home!
This house is an older Victorian house, full of charm. We really enjoyed the massive wrap around porch and ate our evening meals out by the sunset. The spacious outdoor shower was also amazing. All rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The location was fabulous. I recommend visiting Lambert's Cove beach, even splurging for a parking pass.

Thank you so much. We are so happy you enjoyed your stay!
We were looking for a rental with a home-y feel and found just that! Beautiful wrap around porch, nothing better than the rocking chairs on the front porch to sit in and read a book. The house had everything we needed to be comfortable. There were a few small things here and there that weren’t perfect but given the age of the home it was not unexpected. We enjoyed the older charm of this lovely home.

Vineyard review
Lovely property and well located. Loved the wraparound verandah with great chairs and tables . Disappointed with the view of the ocean as you can only see it if standing up. Kitchen cupboards and floor were sticky and could have used a deep clean. Downstairs bed and king size bed were comfortable but upstairs room with 2 beds were not.
Our family had a wonderful week. We have vacationed on MV several times and love coming to this area on the island with our dogs. Lamberts Cove is a beautiful beach and dog friendly in the mornings. This home is just a mile away however with the private beach less then a 5 minute walk we spent most mornings starting our day with a dip in the ocean, rinsing in the outdoor shower and breakfast on the porch. The view at night was also amazing. The house is spacious and has everything you need. My teenage nephews loved the character of this 1891 home. I especially loved the stained glass windows and the beautiful architecture. There was lots to admire and comment on. It is truly a gem of a home. I definitely recommend this home for anyone who is looking for a peaceful island retreat.

Thank you so much! We are happy you enjoyed your stay!
My wife, young son and dog had a wonderful stay on the property. It was centrally located to most activities and the peace and quiet was lovely. The home had all the amenities we needed and was a quick walk/drive to the beach.
A magical house off the beaten path in MV. The historical house has plenty of space and enough bathrooms for everyone. The view and walkable beach are something to look forward to everyday. It was perfect for our family (including pets) for a week of comfort and fun. We really enjoyed our stay.
Very clean, spacious, perfectly situated house with attention to detail. Friendly host and organisation. Beach really is just a very short walk away (downhill). Veranda is very nice and even has a bit of a view as have the upstairs rooms. Lovely garden, nice for children. Cozy! Phenomenal private beach in a very sought after community of the Vineyard.
Interior is a bit old and stuffy/museum-y, so you should belong to those that find that charming.
Bathrooms and kitchen, and many of the appliances, while complete, are (too) dated and fragile and scary to use. The outdoor shower is an excellent idea but not very well executed.

Great front Porch
Lovely stay. Spacious house with a great front porch. Bathrooms need upgrading — otherwise, nice to have access to the beach and conveniently located.
Great Victorian off of Lambert's Cove Road. This is a stretch of the Vineyard we were unfamiliar with, so we were pleasantly surprised by how accessible VH and OB were, as well as up-island beaches. The house is very comfortable, our dog loved walks on Gay Head Avenue and the porch was great for afternoon reading and al fresco dining. We will stay here again!
Such a lovely retreat, yet so close to a lovely quiet beach. We enjoyed dinners on the big porch, walking to the beach each evening for the sunsets, and lounging with family.
Isolated and easily accessible to island activities.
No false advertising....this house is truly a very short walk to the private beach. And thanks to its location, it's an easy drive to anywhere on the island. We were delighted with the house's best feature: a wrap-around porch, where we ate, played and relaxed. And we appreciated the supply of kitchen necessities that can be lacking in other homes.
The house was perfect for six people. It was well-equipped and clean. The outside shower didn’t work but was repaired within hours of contracting the owner. Great stay.
