I stayed for month on business. The location is close to many good restaurants and shopping. The unit came fully equipped so I didn't have to purchase amything.
Owner is incredibly helpful, kind, & responsive. Updated, clean, comfortable and fully stocked.
Everything we needed with lots of perks!
Convenient & centrally located with our own parking stall. Easy access to stores, beaches, freeways, etc. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, exercise room & game room. Loved having a full kitchen & washer/dryer. Highly recommend!
The studio was as advertised, cleaned, pantry was already stocked with basics. Our host was very hospitable and gracious to us. Our only complaint was the insects but he had the unit exterminated while we were there. He responded promptly whenever we called and he greeted us upon our arrival at unit. The washer and dryer was a plus for us because we stayed for over 30 days. When we come back we would stay there again and recommend it to anyone else

Never again
The building has a hot water distribution problem. Which was confirmed by building manager and other residents. The water temperature fluctuated from borderline cool to warm causing our schedule to be dictated by when the water was warm enough to shower. And that's not how you want to spend your month-long vacation. When we ask about it to the host, his answer was, "I have never heard of it or experienced it, I don't open the mail for this unit that often." According to the building manager the issue has been going on over a year and all property owners received a letter in February of 2023 explaining the problem to them. It is hard to believe any responsible property owner would not know of an issue occurring for over a year. If this issue was disclosed prior we would not have chosen this property or any property with issues in the first place. We inquired now that the host is aware of the building issues was he going to disclose it on his listing. His reply was if there was actual evidence of a problem he would. So I guess the letter from the building manager with a mechanical engineers diagnosis is not actual evidence. We just want to warn potential tenants of the issue. And would recommend contacting the actual building manager to get the facts prior to deciding on staying at this property. And lastly the unit is in a building located right behind the Makiki fire station. So be prepared to be awakened at all hours by the sirens.
I am extremely happy with my stay at this property. Everything was well furnished and any need that I might have had was already filled. The easy access to parking and having laundry in the unit were game changers.
This property is conveniently located about 2 miles from Waikiki and the Ward Village and still has easy access to the highway. There is security on-site and safety was never a concern.
A lot of the building is recently updated. The exterior is freshly painted and the pool and hottub had just been drained, cleaned and refilled when I arrived.
I was nervous about staying here at first because this was my first VRBO, but I have very happy that I did. The price was good and the amenities like parking and laundry were exactly what I needed.
This was the perfect place for us. We stayed a month (wish we could’ve stayed longer) and didn’t have any issues. Carlyle greeted us when we arrived, and had the entire studio stocked with essentials for us! Will be our go-to place when traveling back for work or vacation!
It was a great stay for the month. The location is convenient for H1. I was able to get to work and transition around town as I was house hunting without an issue. The location was relaxed and had city views. Overall I was very happy with the location, amenities, and costs.
If you want to experience a normal Honolulu neighborhood, this is the perfect choice. Very nice complex. Quiet and convenient. Carlyle has exquisite taste and the studio has everything you need. Great mattress. Washer/dryer a plus. Walk to Ala Moana—the shopping center extraordinaire. We loved it here —so much so that we’ve stayed twice already.
We stayed over a month here and really enjoyed the neighborhood. Easy walk to shopping (Ala Moana!), restaurants, etc. Walking to the beach is doable, but it’s a trek. The condo is compact, but lovely, and is packed with supplies, treats and plush towels. Carlyle has thought of everything. Oh, and the bed! Best. Mattress. Ever! We loved it so much we’re coming back in a few weeks.
I stayed for a month for a medical rotation. Carlyle greeted on arrival with an array of local snacks and drinks. He also provided a list of good local restaurants! The location lovely, 1 mile (15-30) min walk to a local and un crowded beach as well as Queen’s hospital and the palace. About a 2 mile walk to tourist Waikiki. There’s a local grocery just 2 min down the road. Would definitely stay again! Carlyle was very accommodating and quick to help and provide for any need that arose! You won’t regret staying here!!!
Carlyle has a beautiful studio, fully equipped with everything one might need. It has a nice view and is located in a good neighborhood. It offers a parking space, but we enjoyed walking everywhere...even the one mile to the beach! We hope to return next year. We highly recommend this place!
