Oyster Cottage is a lovely, comfortable cottage with very soothing decor and plenty of space. The location is the biggest plus, shops, parks, and wonderful restaurants are all within walking distance. We really enjoyed our time there.

Cozy Cottage

We had a wonderful time on St Simons Island staying at Oyster Shell Cottage. The cottage was cozy, clean, and well maintained. The location was also great, close to the beach, shops, and restaurants. We loved our stay in at Shell Cottage. the location is great as we can walk to shops and restaurants and also the pier. The cottage was roomy and clean. One suggestion is that there needs to be more spoons at the place. Shannon was very helpful and quickly responded to all my emails. The checkin/check out process was very simple as well. A needed get-away.

This house suited us very well. It is a wonderful location on a dead-end street with the waterway in its backyard. The house is warm and inviting, bright and cheery. Restaurants and entertainment I just footsteps away. We will be back!

Quaint Cottage in Great Location

The cottage was adorable and very clean. It is located right in the heart of the town. We walked to all of the restaurants, and enjoyed walking the pier. The only complaint we had was that the house is listed as having 2 queen size beds. One was actually a king, and the other bed was only a full size. The full size mattress very much needs to be replaced. My husband and i never had a good nights sleep.lighthouse could be seen from our stret.

Cutest cottage

We had a great weekend on our girl cousins/ aunts trip. The house was very clean and great location in relation to restaurants and shops. The beach that is down the street was only a beach for maybe an hour at super low tide, which was a bummer. However, a short drive to actual beach. Weather was too chilly for a day on the beach anyway.

Cute & cozy cottage

Our stay at this cute and cozy cottage was nice. The front porch was enjoyable and we could easily walk to the pier area (couldn’t walk down to beach as steps were out from storm). There is a small back yard with a patio but it can be noisy from store employees. The heat worked well, however the AC had a really bad smell and you can’t open any windows so we didn’t use it. Some furniture is well worn, such as bed in front room and kitchen chairs. You need to bring all toiletries, as not much is provided but there are plenty of stores and restaurants very close by

The perfect seaside cottage!

If they’d sell it, I’d buy it! Lovely cottage, complete with screened-in room that is perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine or a book… or both! Built in the 1920s, but affectionately restored, this three bedroom home has plenty of seating and all the amenities. Conveniently located one street away from the main Mallery St shops and restaurants and famous Pier. Walking distance to everything! The Welcome Book is so informative with the history of the home as well as recommendations of restaurants and activities. Take the time to read it- you’ll be happy you did! My two little boys enjoyed fishing, crabbing, and exploring SSI. Mini golf capped off our evening after a great dinner at Crabdaddys, and just before ice cream at one of the local spots on Mallery St. We’ll definitely be back; or maybe just me and some girlfriends for some R&R!

Clean, quaint, convenient

Clean, quaint, close to pier village and very near to low tide beach access. Owners have done an excellent job of updating and providing modern conveniences in a great old beach cottage. Very roomy. Fans and air conditioner were top notch. In the future, when bathrooms are ready for renovations, the only thing that would be more comfortable for seniors would be to replace at least one of the original bathtubs with a walk in shower. My senior parents had a bit of a difficult time with the tubs. Otherwise the cottage is superb. I am a renovation contractor and I think the renovations were thoughtfully done and they maintained the character of the cottage. I'm always glad when the old cottages aren't knocked down to make way for multiple tall houses on the same lot. Kudos to the owners.

Independence Day fireworks

This is a wonderful cottage that more than lived up to the advertising! The location was perfect for us as we came primarily for the fireworks and it's only a 5 /- minute stroll to the pier / park. Additionally, the lighthouse, and numerous shops and restaurants are all within walking distance. We loved it!
