About the host
Hosted by Veronica Daffey
My family has had property in Lorne for well over 40 years as we just love the natural environment with the bush and the ocean and there is plenty of birds and wildlife. There are so many lovely walking tracks along the beach to the pier as well as through many of the bush areas where waterfalls & rivers can be found. I have been managing holiday rentals privately in Lorne for over 20 years so I have plenty of experience in this area and strive to give the holiday maker the best possible stay by making sure everything is as perfect as it can be so they can relax and enjoy every minute.
Why they chose this property
This property is situated in the perfect spot overlooking Louttit Bay with 180 degree views around to Anglesea lighthouse and back to the Lorne pier. You can see the waves crashing on the shore across the road and at the right time of the year, you can even see whales migrating south or dolphins or sea lions swimming by. You can walk across the road to the beach or take a 10 minute walk along a sealed, mostly flat footpath to the local supermarket or drive to the town centre in 5 minutes. The best part is, it is not in the heart of the town centre where in peak period can be extremely busy & noisy, it is in North Lorne away from the hustle & bustle where you can completely relax & chill out amongst the rolling of the waves and amongst all the beautiful wildlife.
What makes this property unique
This is a unique property as it has 3 levels and can accommodate up to 10 people which overlooks Louttit Bay. We often have 2 families stay comfortably as it has several different living zones and guests can escape if they want their own peace & quiet. They can also come together as a large family and enjoy the outdoor living areas as well as a large dining, kitchen & living area, sunroom/office and smaller downstairs TV area for smaller children. The kitchen is fully equipped to cater for 10 people so you can be assured that you will have most items you require if you enjoy cooking and entertaining and there is also a Weber BBQ on the middle deck which overlooks the ocean with outdoor tables & chairs to enjoy in the warmer weather.
