This cabin was everything we expected and more. Very clean, beautiful, and large enough for 3 adults and 3 kids. We spent a lot of time by the lake. Very serene; just what we were looking for. Host was very responsive to our inquiries.
We really enjoyed our stay. This was by far the most stocked cabin we've ever stayed in. Our 4 year old daughter caught her very first fish.🐟 She ended up catching 12 using bread balls. It was her favorite part of the vacation.
We were looking for a place to relax and fish for our family ranging from 3 years old to 74 years old. Plenty of room for 5 adults and 2 children. The ponds were excellent and we all caught a variety of fish while we were there. Close enough to all attractions we wished to visit In the area. Had a few questions and the owners were awesome to answer those along the way. Definitely recommend this place to others!
Wonderful. Small little pocket town that is incredibly mellow. Owners reached out on the day of arrival and were very pleasant (via text). The cabin had everything needed and then some. WiFi was a little spotty but location location location. The private road was paved which was nice. Zero complaints. Quick drive into town. Beautiful drive through the mountains to get where you needed to go for the bigger cities.
I stayed here with my 8 year old daughter and spouse for a week long get away. The location in Andrews was close to a grocery store, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, and beautiful hiking.
The house was clean and the owners were wonderful to talk to. We caught fish in the stocked pond and had a fire in the fire pit each night.
The kitchen is perfect for those who want to do a little cooking on vacation with a gas stove and plenty of cookware.
I would absolutely recommend this house for a quiet getaway.
It is a quiet beautiful place that was great for the family. Only drawback however was one of the beds linen smelled of body odor and the pillow case had sleepers drool on it. There were multiple wet used towels also hanging from the hooks with the clean towels still in the dryer on arrival. After we stripped the beds and washed all the linens and used towels the first day it was great from that point on.

Response from owner: "We are so sorry to hear about the cleanliness upon your arrival. We will be discussing this with our cleaning crew immediately! We greatly appreciate your feedback!"
It was what we needed. Everyone had their own bathroom, and it was comfortable enough. We laughed and cooked and talked. We were in town for a wedding at Hawksdene and it was VERY close to the venue. That was perfect. Could have some upgrades (like the mattresses are very noisy), but for a family get away it really was just fine. The kitchen was clean and had everything. Everyone enjoyed the stay and we had fun playing cards and just sitting around the table.
We booked this place for 3 nights for our first trip to ride The Tail of the Dragon. Lots of privacy there. It’s a beautiful secluded area! We absolutely enjoyed front porch sitting, fishing, & having a small fire by the pond. It’s about an hour from The Tail & made a stunning & relaxing ride to get there and back. The owner is great and even brought us a new propane tank for the grill as the other one was empty. The house has a full kitchen, living room, and 2 bedrooms (each with its own bathroom upstairs). And a seperate small kitchen, living area, and one bed one bath downstairs. There is no connector from up & downstairs; you have to go outside & up the front porch steps.
We have nothing bad to say about this place & would definitely book it again!!!

Quiet location with no privacy
The cleanliness of the property was below average. Trash under furniture, spider webs everywhere inside and outside, hair in showers and around the toilet, also found makeup on pillowcases and stains on the sheets. There were cameras inside and outside the house that were recording. Owner was difficult to get a hold of and not very helpful. our Wi-Fi quit working after we contacted the Owner about the cameras and there was no resolution given for the wifi.

Hi Tami, we always appreciate hearing from our guests, but the homeowner would like to take a moment to clarify a few things raised in your review:
- We use a professional cleaning company to ensure that the home is cleaned and sanitized between guests. We also performed a walk-through of the home before this check-in and we are confident that the home met our high cleanliness standards ahead of your stay.
- As mentioned on our listing, there are exterior-facing security cameras on property for the safety of our guests.
- Guest communication is one of our top priorities and our records show us responding to each and every one of your concerns. There was nothing wrong with the wifi, but it may have been disrupted when the security camera module was unplugged by your party.
We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays!

Good value for the money
The upstairs was clean, well furnished, and fully stocked with paper goods, dishes, pots, pans, utensils, etc. The bathrooms were clean and stocked. Extra sheets and blankets were clean and available.
The downstairs was also clean and well stocked. There are a few downsides to that area. 1) There is no way to access it from upstairs, so if your party includes someone staying downstairs, they have to go outside and down a long flight of stairs that aren't covered so they get wet if it's raining. 2) The raised tub in the bathroom doesn't have a grab bar of any kind and is somewhat treacherous to get out of when you are wet. 3) There is no central heat downstairs, only an electric fireplace and one space heater that you have to move back and forth from the bedroom to the bathroom. On the nights we stayed there, it was very cold, so heat was important. The downstairs doesn't seem to be totally finished off with paint on the wood trim in the bathroom, etc. so it may still be a work in progress.
Overall, this is a nice little cabin on a private road. It is very quiet and peaceful. Be sure to go see Wayah Bald if you stay there. The view is amazing!
I would definitely stay there again.
Where do I start? This cabin is very relaxing. With a beautiful setting. The road leading to the cabin is only big enough for one lane. So be careful coming in because the road holds two way traffic. As for the cabin, it has everything you could ask for. All you need is your cloths, groceries and your all good for a nice stay. The pond is right outside the door practically. It's full of fish. You can feed them, watch them swim in schools or as we did catch them. We caught lots of bass ( 2 different kinds), Crappy, and Brim. Thankfully no one hooked one of the gigantic carp that swims around fins out. I also loved watching the geese come in every evening and fly out in formations every morning. The fire pit and sound of the rushing spring are very nice and relaxing as well. Although it seems as if your miles and miles away from the world. You actually only a short drive (as in a couple miles) away from the adorable lil town of Andrews. Everyone was so nice and friendly. Take a nice drive and you can be at many of the beautiful waterfalls, rivers or Gem Mines the area has to offer. Plus the Casinos, many restaurants, shops, and wineries. We look forward to renting this cabin again in the future.
We arrived about 2 hrs early which they were so kind to let us go ahead and occupy the residence. Loved the cabin, my husband and I felt it was just perfect. Feeding the Carp was so much fun and watching the brim eat also, amazing pond. Absolutely wonderful stay.
The cabin was very relaxing to hang out at, it was close to town, and a in a great location to explore the mountains.
We didn't want to leave. Would consider staying there again.
A bit dark inside the house. Would be nice in the hotter months. Pond and fish were nice and it was quite peaceful. Nice neighborhood. A lot of very dirty, run down, abandoned houses and businesses in and around Andrews, which was a bit depressing.

Hi Samuel, the homeowner would like to share the following response: "I am sorry to hear this - if the room feels dark, we'd recommend opening the curtains on the double windows in both the great room and dining area which are all open and a beautiful world surrounds you. There are creamy yellow walls in the great room, fully lit ceiling fans, a floor lamp plus lights on the end tables to brighten the space. The once very prosperous town has had its jobs shipped out but the restaurants and the town itself is a sweet spot surrounded by the mountains."

Amazing place and owners.
It was a wonderful homey place. We enjoyed everything. Fishing was slow, but accomplished! Bonfire and relaxing deck were great. Enjoyed walking down the road and taking in the rays! Close to thr mountains. .
As soon as we walked in the door I felt like I was at home. The house and the surroundings were beautiful and the host Charlie was a tremendous life saver when we were never sent the confirmation code to get in. We will definitely be going back again.
