The pool is heated from November 15th to April 15th. While the heater works to maintain comfortable temperatures, performance can vary during colder weather. This home has stairs, if you or someone in your party has trouble with stairs, please contact us for more details. We happily welcome one small dog (up to 25 lbs) with a $250 per week pet fee—breed guidelines apply to ensure a safe and comfortable stay for everyone. This house is located in the village of Siesta Key which is convenient for walking everywhere, however this house was not idea for me and my grandchildren. There are a lot of steps up to the cottage and lots of steps up to the bedroom so bringing luggage in was a nightmare and carrying laundry up and down was just as bad. The pool here is so tiny and you share w the family next door. The hot tub had not been cleaned and was cloudy and smelled moldy. This house is not worth over3000.00 for 5 nights. No ice maker and one mini ice cube tray so I had to go to the market to buy ice several times.

Such an awesome place. Right next to all the restaurants, beach, with a private backyard. The bikes and beach equipment was a huge plus, being able to do laundry and feel at home for the price of a hotel.

Perfect location with relaxing pool area

My husband and I loved the location of this rental. You could see the Village from the front door and a short walk to the beach. Perfect stay

Had a girls weekend in Siesta Key and this property was well equipped and centrally located to everything! The grocery store is right across the street . All bars and restaurants are on the main road just a few blocks away! The property has bikes which was a nice touch but we walked everywhere. The pool is a little small but perfect for the size of our group. Property was super clean (no sand!) and had comfortable beds and a well stocked kitchen. It has everything you need for the beach - chairs, coolers, floaties and sand toys (if traveling with kids). Will definitely stay here again!

Location Location Location

The property was pristine. Everything looked new - there was no musty smell and the air conditioner worked perfectly. We made use of the pool, hot tub, porch, outdoor area and kitchen. Everything you could want is there - Keurig, beach chairs, umbrella....the list goes on. We loved that the grocery store was right there and the beach and night life right around the corner. This is a great place - especially for the price.

Excellent Location!

My wife and I absolutely loved this place. Tucked away in the heart of the Village, everything was within walking distance. Little grocery store, great coffee spot and excellent restaurants were all right there. We loved sitting on the front balcony at night with our 4 legged little buddy listening to the live music. Place was as described and had a really cool digital concierge. Everything was very clean and fully stocked. Beach access was only a couple blocks away and although we didn't use any of the beach supplies (wagon, chairs, towels, etc), it was nice to know they were there. The backyard pool and spa were nice to have too. We would definitely stay here again, the next time we visit Siesta Key!

Short family vacation

The property was just as pictured and explained. The hosts were quick to respond to any concerns or questions. There was a wood pole that was broken and they came right away to fix it. There were cupcakes left in the fridge but I’m not sure if they were supposed to be for us or from the previous stay as the name on them was not ours. Everything else was perfect! I do suggest trying to rent the whole unit versus one duplex, the neighbors had dogs that barked a lot and the pool is way to small to accommodate more than 4-5 people, especially if they are strangers. Overall, would stay again. The proximity to the village is amazing!

Theft by Constructive Eviction

Constructive Eviction. At this point, my monies have been effectively stolen. VRBO claims they cannot require a return of my funds; The Cottages on the Key is the current name of the company. A man named Robert Koch claimed the property was intact, but it was not. I went so far as to make a reasonable request to be relocated and they would not do so. My holiday gift to my family was ruined: my travel funds taken. Theft.

Siesta Key Christmas

I'm relatively new with VRBO. Actually I am an owner and use VRBO to promote my property in Naples Florida. With that said, we had to book our Christmas vacation in siesta Key since the property in Naples was lost due to hurricane Ian. The pictures are great. Unfortunately in my opinion they don't truly represent what you're getting. I don't know how they do it but they do make the place look very spacious. Very clean. This truly wasn't the case. However the company incorporation did try their best to make my wife happy with respect to the cleanliness. Overall a good experience for such a short notice.

Great location

The property was just as described! Just around the corner from downtown Siesta Key and only a short walk to the beach. They provide you with a lot of supplies for the beach including towels, wagons, coolers, chairs, sand toys. There’s also a pack-n-play for a child in one of the upstairs closets. We hadn’t used this but I thought that was really nice. Unfortunately, we did not have the best weather and the beach had a lot of seaweed so we did spend a good amount of time at the pool and hot tub which was very nice. My only complaint was upon walking into the condo on day one there were two dead cockroaches lying visibly in the entryway. I understand it’s an island and there are going to be cockroaches around, especially that close to all the restaurants, however given that the condo was supposedly just cleaned I found it odd that they were out in the open. The fact that they were dead was reassuring that maybe they had sprayed? Either way we had not seen any more the rest of our stay.

Great Getaway!

Location, Location! Just steps away from the village which was very convenient for shopping, eating and nightlife. It was one of 2 units and our neighbors were quiet and nice. However, being that close to the village there was quite a bit of nightlife noise on the weekends. To be expected with the location but if that will bother you, don't stay here. We didn't mind it too much as it was quiet the rest of the week. The unit itself is a bit dated but very well maintained and CLEAN. Our only complaints were that the VRBO listing says that it is a 2 bed/2 bathroom unit, but in fact only has 1.5 bathrooms. This made getting ready with 4 adults a bit tricky but wasn't a deal breaker. The other was the sofa. It is very worn and incredibly uncomfortable which made relaxing in the evenings difficult. I would suggest replacing it. Other than that, we very much enjoyed ourselves. The bikes were a lovely surprise and we used them every morning. The private backyard was nice (although doesn't get much sun). We enjoyed the hot tub and dipping pool. If you want to be in all the action, this is the place to stay.

Great in town location!

Perfect spot for a family getaway. The backyard was so nice and relaxing. Great location to walk to town and close to the market.
