About this property

Charming Luxury Self Contained Cottage.

The two bedrooms are beautifully decorated with king size beds which can be split to king singles. High quality bed linen, towels and local natural IKOU toiletries are provided. Double doors from the bedrooms open onto a veranda and overlook a quiet tree lined street with bush views towards Katoomba. The en-suite bathroom has a double shower and a large bath, the second bathroom includes the washing machine and clothes dryer. Both bathrooms have underfloor heating and heated towel rails. At the press of a button the cottage is very cosy with a gas fire in the lounge room which give warmth and ambience. Plus there is reverse cycle air conditioning. The lounge, dining and fully equipped designer kitchen is open plan. From the lounge, doors open to the back verandah and cottage garden. A BBQ is provided for perfect alfresco cooking and dining. There is a smart TV plus Sonos sound system available for your music. La Casetta is an easy flat stroll of 1 kilometer from the delightful village of Leura with its numerous shops, cafes, restaurants and galleries. Spectacular bush walks, views and waterfalls are within a few minutes walk from the cottage.

Weekend at the Blue Mountains

Fabulous property for two couples. Luxury finishes, very comfortable. Quiet location yet close to all amenities. A lovely experience for couple from Cairns. The Victorians were really happy.

The Perfect Cottage Location in the Mountains

Such a stunningly practical luxurious home. Close to the magnificent mountains, restaurants like Arrana, markets and local shops useful if you are cooks. Toasty warm in Winter and perfect for that night sky viewing. Carol's attention to detail and hospitality makes this the ideal stay. You will even get design ideas and furnishing for your own place.

Highly recommended as a place to stay in Leura

This is a fantastic property which was well designed when it was built and is well equipped. The kitchen is excellent and is easy to use - something that is not common from our experience. The bathroom was also excellent and well layout. The property is an easy walk to Leura and the walk that starts at Leura Cascades. Even the garden surrounding the property is superbly maintained! We would highly recommend a stay at Carol's property.

Excellence in Leura

We stayed in Carols place for the weekend as we had runners in the 100km UTA and I think it’s safe to say all four of us never wanted to leave. If we could have lifted it up and brought it home with us we would have!!! Every single part of this house was immaculate and there were so many nice little touches that made the stay so amazing. We will be sure to recommend this house to everyone we know! Thanks again Carol 🥰

Luxury Cottage

We had a wonderful time at La Casetta. Cosy gas fireplace to keep you warm all through the cottage with beautiful bush scenery and treetop views from the front verandah. 5 minutes to Village of Leura. Also great communication with the owner. Definitely will be back 🙂

La Casetta bella!

Carol's beautifully-appointed cottage ticked all our boxes for a family Xmas in the mountains... extremely comfortable, quiet and within a short stroll of interesting shops, cafes and spectacular cliff-top views. Despite being in COVID lock-down on Sydney's northern beaches, Carol couldn't have been more helpful. Our two adult sons also gave La Casetta top marks for its savvy AV facilities.

I am married to Joe and we have 3 sons and 6 grandchildren. We are retired so enjoy to travel especially to Italy as I have a passion for learning the language and skiing in the Dolomite mountains. I love the culture, it’s history and certainly the food and wine. Hokaaido in Japan is another country I love to ski with its incredible powder snow, gracious people and delicious food. Gardening is something I get a great deal of pleasure from and in the Blue Mountains beautiful gardens can be created with such a variety of plants and trees because of the colder climate.

Why they chose this property

I have owned this block of land which ‘La Casetta’ now sits, for several years, so finally in 2020 the house was built by a local builder who has done a superb job. It sits quite comfortably amongst the other Blue Mountains cottages. I've enjoyed furnishing and decorating the cottage and although everything is brand new it has a nice cosy feel. La Casetta means ‘little cottage’ in Italian. The beautifully landscaped gardens are flourishing and growing rapidly. It is our wonderful home away from home, being close to our grandchildren and to enjoy all the Blue Mountains has to offer.

What makes this property unique

The Blue Mountains are World Heritage and there is so much to see and do.
1km to Leura Mall with its shops, cafes, restaurants and galleries.
Walking distance to bush walks, amazing views and waterfalls.
Winter time in front of the gas fire with possibly a snow fall is pretty special.
