We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Vickery Farmhouse, the property was immaculate with everything we required for our stay. The owners made everything very easy and communication was exceptional. The setting is very quiet but is very close to shops, wineries and beaches. It is great place to base a stay to explore the region.
We stayed 4 nights here as part of our SA summer holiday trip. Property was very clean, and had all the little things to feel like home. Would recommend!
This 1970s farmhouse has been stylishly renovated to make a very comfortable holiday home. Close to Willunga, it feels like it’s way out in the country somewhere with no other houses in sight. We had a very relaxing few days there, with the owners thoughtfully providing everything we needed.
This was an excellent base for the Willunga McLaren Vale region. We'd definitely consider another stay as it was an excellent property had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. So modern and cosy with the fire. Games for the kids and wine for the adults!
As soon as you pull into the street you will feel relaxed what a Beautiful tranquil property to enjoy ,very clean airy bright well equipped home with plenty of wood supplied to keep cosy and warm such a
lovely finished and decorated relaxing home to stay at, a great base to explore all the area has to offer and an easy drive into Adelaide. highly recommend
Heidi & Ben are fantastic friendly hosts thank you for having us at such short notice
Home has been renovated to a contemporary standard, while maintaining a retro 70's feel. It is situated in a quiet part of Willunga and has magnificent views down towards McLaren Vale. Communication with our host Heidi was excellent. Would not hesitate to stay again.
Tastefully renovated, clean farm house with all modern amenities located in a tranquil location at the edge of Willunga and amongst the numerous wineries of the McLaren Vale.
The checking-in process was a breeze with the keys securely stored at the property - a real non-contact check-in. A very pleasant surprise was a complimentary bottle of local red wine provided by our host Heidi. On the cool evenings the slow combustion oven provided the warmth and the feeling of comfort and relaxation. Wood for the oven was neatly stacked next to the entrance door. On the crispy mornings, the split system air conditioning helped to take the chill away while getting ready for the day's adventures. On our last day we enjoyed the Willunga Market and all the local products and "goodies" before heading home to Adelaide. A consensus amongst all participants of this short break was that 3 days are definitely not long enough to enjoy the things this area has to offer. We will be back for more - hopefully soon.
This place was exactly what we wanted. Nice and peaceful. Close proximity to the wedding that we attended and also shops. Heidi was very helpful. We will hopefully return again sometime.
We stayed here with a young family and found the house the perfect size and well appointed. The location is fairly central to most of the Mclaren Vale area but tucked away to be very quite and secluded. Nice a safe with kids.
Neat tidy excellent venue close to all areas of Willunga
We had Family travel for wedding and the accomodation and services provided were excellent. We would recommend this property for anyone travelling to Willunga.
Fantastic stay, really enjoyed the atmosphere and accommodation. It was just the perfect setting being able to sit outside and look at the scenery while having breakfast. Happily stay here again! Heidi and Ben are fantastic hosts, and just really friendly communication.
Plenty of room for a family or bigger group, with easy car access to McLaren Vale region (no shops etc. within walking distance). Lovely warming fire but bring a few microwave heat bags for the beds at night as the warmth from the living room doesn't really reach the bedrooms. Excellent hot water system, full kitchen facilities and a portacot available at no extra cost. We especially enjoyed the complimentary bottle of local wine!
Greatly enjoyed a weekend getaway here. Nice secluded spot surrounded by nature but only a couple minutes of the town to be able get coffee and food. Wood fire perfect for winter, no doubt will be back again.
