Poipu Shopping Center is just across the street with fun shops and restaurants. Relax on your private lanai overlooking the garden while being steps to the sand. Surf spots, long walks and lifeguarded beach are at your fingertips. Many issues including cobwebs, stained bathtub so it looks like rivulets of dirt, no iron, the refrigerator was substandard and was so loud we had to wear earplugs, the dishwasher wouldn’t turn on, the towel rack fell on my foot when I took a towel off….so very disappointed in this place.

First, we always take feedback seriously and are committed to maintaining a clean and comfortable home for every stay. The bathtub referenced is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after every guest. That said, the finish is showing cosmetic wear and does need refinishing, which takes several days to get done. We have booked a future date for the job. We have also addressed and corrected several of the other items noted. We kindly ask all guests to let us know right away if anything during your stay does not meet expectations. We are very responsive and truly want the opportunity to make things right in real time. In this particular case, we were not notified until the day before checkout, which limited our ability to resolve concerns during the stay. Kauai Vacation

The VRBO had everything we needed for cooking at home. The location was great for easy access to the beach as well as shops and restaurants. The beach chairs and additional supplies were also very handy and made the experience more enjoyable. We would certainly stay here again.

The Good: The location was fantastic and the pool amenities were great! When I had an issue they responded via chat promptly.The Issues Which We Communicated:1) The dishwasher was broken and no one would fix it until our departure day, nothing like washing dishes on vacation!2) We had a couple of bugs in the condo and we didn't prefer that, that said we tried to be patient as this is a tropical setting. After finding 3 and then calling I would have preferred a more swift correction and communication after they sprayed.3) The digital guidebook is inaccurate: First they have the wrong building highlighted for the condo so we didnt know where to find it, FYI its next door. Second the paperwork states access to the pool club during the duration of our stay- apparently not on check out day. This detail was missing and unfortunately cost me money out of pocket.All in all the place was in a great location, suggesting they fix these small issues we would go back!

Very clean property!

Short walk to the beach was very convenient. Actually preferred this property after staying there. The parking gets crowded the closer to the beach you get. Easier to park in this area. And can walk across the street to the cafe and athletic club. Very clean home and very spacious for at most 4 people. Thank you!

We loved this unit! My boyfriend and I stayed here at the end of August for 6 nights and had a great time. The unit was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We loved being on the 2nd level. It was private. The bed and couch were comfy. Loved having AC in the place! Loved having the outdoor grills right outside our unit which we used everyday. Bonus, the grills were cleaned EVERY MORNING by the groundskeepers, so awesome. The unit is next to the road and we didn’t hear any traffic noise at all. It was very peaceful. The unit is quite a walk away from the though, however we didn’t mind, we loved having our morning walks. We enjoyed using the athletic grounds for the pool/jacuzzi and pickleball too! Only downside is that the pool closed at 7, but not the unit’s fault. We would definitely stay here again the next time we are back in Poipu :)

Very nice condo

Although the condo is set in the back of the resort next to the road, it is a great location. Its close to Poipu Athletic Club and the Poipu Shopping Center. The Lanai is private with a view of palms, trees, and tropical plants - No one can see into your room. Everything in the condo is new except the shower. The Wood floors are a huge bonus as many other units that have carpet smell musty due to the humidity. People complain of road noise but by the time you go to bed, there is very few cars driving and it did not bother us. The building is positioned to have the trade winds blow through the unit and keep it cool.

Very disappointed. The condo is tired and worn and even a bit smelly. I payed on the floor to do my Physical Therapy exercises and the carpet smelled so bad I almost gagged. There were only minimal supplies in the kitchen, not even plastic wrap or foil. No beach gear whatsoever. No beach chairs, toys, or towels. It is located in the farthest building from the beach and across a busy road to the pool. The pool is very small, especially for the number of people using it. The water was a bit murky.the only thing good about this condo was that it is in Hawaii.

Aloha future guest! This review came out of nowhere for us and we’re almost thinking that Karen stayed in a different condominium. There is virtually no carpet here, we have upgraded countertops and cabinets in the kitchen and the Poipu athletic club across the street has been held as one of the best places to hang out and catch some rays on the island. We had no communication from Karen during her stay and had we known she was unhappy in any way, we would’ve done our best to assist her. In the future, we would love for Karen to try to help the host by communicating how they are feeling so we can adapt appropriately. Being a boutique hospitality company, we do everything that we can to make guests happy so that they can just enjoy and experience the magic of the garden island. But it doesn’t help us at all after the fact when we get a low review score and we cannot fix anything post-stay. Thank you for looking out our other reviews and our reviews in total to see that we are a five-star company and have amazing properties of the same caliber.

The property was in a fantastic location near the beach, restaurants and shopping area. The property had everything needed for a comfortable stay with my family of three. Upon our arrival the property management provided very detailed directions and answered questions promptly. Nice condo with good upgrades. I’m the back of the property but we spent more time at the athletic club then on the beach and it’s right across the street. Wish it had an umbrella, chairs and a cooler as I bet everyone that comes would use those items. I had to buy them at Costco unfortunately. Otherwise, great place, super accommodating to meet me and drop off unit keys and responded right away to phone calls. Thanks for the great stay!

Perfect vacation spot!

Poipu is the best spot on the island. It is easy to get around from this location. The beach is nice and accessible. The condo has everything you need and is very clean. Parking was easy. The host was very helpful and responsive and even gave us some pointers which added to some of our daily adventures. When we left we said we would definitely rent this unit again!

Great condo for a Kauai getaway

This condo was a great spot for our Hawaiian getaway. The unit was super clean and our neighbors were not too loud. The building is right next to Poipu Rd and I thought it would be super noisy but it wasn’t too bad. There is no glass in the windows in the bedroom or bathroom so you can hear the roosters in the AM very clearly and conversations of people passing by. The kitchen was functional and had plenty of plates, cups, silverware and pots and pans. The lanai was relaxing as it overlooks a grassy area. We had lots of bird visitors. There is a table and two loungers so it was a great spot to eat breakfast or take a nap after a day on the beach. There was always parking available close to the building. I would recommend staying here! It was close to Poipu beach (lots of turtles on the beach there). It’s a little bit of a walk to the beach on the resort but not unmanageable.

Careful Review Required:

The property was not as expected. The unit is as far away from the beach as possible, actually, outside the shaded area on your website that shows the location.. To access the pool you have to cross a busy road walk up a hill. Unit had the basics, but no more. There is a safe which I consider very important; however, the connection to the building is very poor. I suspect I could tear it out with bare hands. The access stair to the beach has collapsed and been repaired. The repairs appear to have been done by a person with no skill. Pitiful. The condition did not change in 2 weeks. All disappointing.

I am so sorry that you had bad experience . Unit is priced well based on location and its still most 10min away very slow walk from beach . But its directly across pathway to a pool and using pathway you would not have issue with busy road . Units that are super close to a beach are way more expensive and we have multiple units on various locations . We all have same safe inside units installed by resort and so far for years never had anyone robbed . They told me last time was 30y ago and it was person that stayed in ground floor unit and left purse on chair with lanai door wide open .Access to a beach that is voted many times as nicest beach on Kauai is under construction and sorry but no one can control ocean and how much sand is gone . You could walk couple hundred feet and go into ocean from Sheraton beach , that is what we all use until access is fully repaired which it seems just happened .This unit is one with high review and rented almost non stop because is great value for the money . If you were looking for unit close to a beach price would be way higher and we even have ocean front units for rent but price is double .

We loved our stay at Svetlana's place! Our family of four ( 2 children 5&7) had plenty of space and the beds were comfortable. The walk to the beach was about 5-10 minutes (depending on how slow our 5 year old walked). You can walk from the beach in front of the resort down to Poipu beach where we saw Hawaiian Monk seals and sea turtles sunning themselves and playing in the water every day! You can check out towels from the resort beach hut for free and they have other beach items you can rent (snorkles and such). The Poipu Athletic Club is right across the street and has a great pool with a water slide and a sandy shallow end for small children. They also have a gym which you can use for free!! The Poipu shopping center is also right across the street and has a general store for anything items you might need, the BEST Gelato shop, and lots of other restaurants and shops! So happy with our choice to stay at Svetlana's, we would book with her again. Best vacation!

We enjoyed our stay here. The owner, Svetlana, is VERY Responsive and VERY accommodating. We were provided late checkout privileges until 8:00 pm as our flight was at 10:00 pm. The condo is very nice and is spacious. There are some minor updates needed but no big deal. Noise from the road not a big concern as it is eliminated at night once windows are closed. Wake-up calls from roosters in the early morning. These helped us make use of our days. No AC was needed as the fans were sufficient. The beach the property is on is very nice with good service from the beach hut. The grounds are nice. A couple of minor issues with property management. These were resolved with help from Owner. Enjoyed our overall stay. Strongly recommend the property.
