It's a great property with awesome beach access. Home needs some improvements and cleaning. Since there is not a dishwasher, instructions said to sterilize silverware with bleach upon arrival. No bleach was provided & not informed ahead of time to bring any. We would stay again, but plan better for needed items.
Shoreline is awesome! All sand. Fire pit, plenty of parking- yard and privacy are great. I’m assuming we were probably the first visitors of the season- a few cobwebs in the corners. Water STUNK- even after running it for several minutes multiple days. Fly tape was still hanging…and it was just above the toaster. It’s a nice old nostalgic cabin- could have been cleaner. Top of fridge was thick with dust….but overall a nice place to stay. Not sure if it was worth 2300.00 for three nights…especially with the weather-oh- and there was an old sink, tire and rope laying in the yard? Classy.
The only downside was the invasion of mice (therefore the 3 star)...in fact we brought one home - not by choice - in the shoe bag of my husband and you could hear them at night. They ate some of our food- but fortunately we also have a rustic cabin It was a fantastic beach property nonetheless.... We would return and I suspect they will deal with the mice - we did leave a note and there was at least one dead mouse the morning we left. So I say all and all it's great. Also it was a great place to bike - we were almost at the end of the island and could make a really. nice loop to the other side. Very quiet.
