Driving up to this charming yet rustic 100 year old home is just the beginning of your romantic Fredericksburg getaway. Set in a quiet neighborhood and conveniently located only 1 ½ blocks away from Historic Main Street where all the shopping and activities await you. There are two complete suites at Bowie Cottage perfect for traveling together with friends or two couples. Although they are rented together as one, each suite has its own private front and rear entrances as well as their own private living area, bedroom, and bath providing complete privacy for each suite.

LOCATION - 1.5 blocks south of Main Street
HOSTS - Private home to yourselves
SLEEPS - Up to 4 people in 2 king suites
BATH - 2 baths; one has a walk-in shower and freestanding tub and the other one has a jetted tub with a shower
KITCHEN - 2 kitchenette areas; one kitchenette area has a Keurig, mini-fridge, and microwave while the other only has a mini-fridge and microwave– no coffeemaker
BREAKFAST - No breakfast; coffee & tea provided
AMENITIES - Flat screen TVs with Netflix, WiFi, two gas fireplaces, front porch with swing, back yard with seating and a hot tub, free off-street parking

Please be aware that there is a security camera located on the front porch and that faces the porch.

- Observe the City of Fredericksburg Quiet Hours (10pm to 7am in residential zones). No music of any kind after 10 pm.
- The City of Fredericksburg is a Dark Sky Community with outdoor lighting restrictions. All outdoor lighting is encouraged to be turned off when no one is present to use the light.
- Observe the designated on-site and off-site parking spaces.
- Place all trash in designated containers.

We would definitely stay here again! Super cute and spacious. Comfy beds and great outdoor seating area with hot tub. The gas fireplace was very welcomed during an unexpected cold front during our visit. We loved our stay in the Bowie Cottage!

Perfect stay for us and our friends! We both have little babies and the split rooms were perfect for us to have some privacy but still in the same house. Walking distance from the main strip made it super easy to get the girls out for the day. Definitely will be back!

The Bowie Cottage was very comfortable and clean. It’s a lot roomier than it seems from the outside. The backyard is a great size and has a sitting area with nice big trees for shade and a cool breeze. Although the cottage does not have a full kitchen… the 2 mini kitchenettes worked great for us. It is a quiet location and just a couple of blocks off Maine Street. The host reached out with a welcome note and a helping hand if needed. Great trip and wonderful little cottage.

The place was rustic and peaceful. We heard either rodents or squirrels inside the house in the attic, scared us all one afternoon. One of the doors leading outside was rotted. There were dead wasp in the house found.

Loved the house! So charming and perfect for 2 couples! Plenty of dishes, towels, and coffee supplies. It is close to Main Street but in my opinion not necessarily walkable to the heart of main street where a majority of the shops and restaurants are. We drove. Would definitely book again and highly recommend!

This Property needs to be finished in the updating department. One side is pretty cute and updated the other side not so much. The bathroom needs to be gutted and redid. You can see sunlight through the walls. The bed sucked not very comfy at all. Smells mildew on the one side also. I know yawl are trying to sale the place but I would try to continue updating while going through that process. Would never stay there again unless you had both sides updated. The tub was nasty and the drains wouldn't drain while in the showers. Then the Hot tub was so chlorimide no way we could of got in that. The landscaping was awful and the chairs for us to sit in was ridiculous. I would truthfully would want half the money back on it if I could get it. But I know that VRBO is a hit and miss. Just an FYI for people that are looking at the property to stay at.

this was our all-time favorite VRBO stay. Property was lovely. Everything we needed was in the cabin. Couldn’t have asked for a better weekend. Would definitely suggest the Bowie cottage.

Bowie Cottage was just wonderful. Having two separate areas for sleeping and two separate bathrooms was a bonus. The price was so reasonable. The Cottage was very clean, except for the air vents, especially near the bed in the first section. Thank you!
