Lovely new modular home on a nice property but not waterfront-just muddy low tide. The private island is also misleading; there was another home directly through the trees next door. The house itself is well decorated and comfortable but needs some rugs, curtains and a table outside for dinners. For this much money, I would have appreciated the generosity of extra propane tanks in case of running out, and plenty of the necessities like detergent and dish soap. There was only 2 of us so we were fine, but 2 pods of dishwasher detergent was pretty meager..
I tried to get info ahead of time about what to expect but was told we would not get that info until the day of check in. Hard to plan in that case. Stores are small convenience types and not close by.
There is a fire pit which was nice- the stars here are spectacular. It is really quite a hike to get to Acadia so if that is your destination- don't stay here. If you want a really quiet new-home feel kind of place to hang out and play games with a big family- this would be perfect.
