What a pretty and quaint spot for taking a respite from the busy world. The view is gorgeous and there's plenty of nearby ways to enjoy nature. There's also a great little grocery store nearby to take advantage of the fully equipped kitchen and nice little outdoor grill. Our host was very responsive and helpful, making sure we had a great stay. We're already planning a return trip next year!

Cottage was perfect . Had everything you could possibly need. Was beautifully decorated . So cozy for two people.
Great location to travel to Portland, Old Orchard and Kennebunk. Even weather was good, couple of chilly days, but didn’t mind staying in. Would love to go back .

Just what we needed
We were going to the Fryeburg Fair, Kennebunk Port, and Damariscotta before heading to Acadia. This was a central location for that. Really appreciated the shampoo and body wash since we didn't bring any. Blue pig is a great breakfast loint about 12 minutes from there. So nice to not stay in a hotel and be able to feel at home in the evenings.Very clean!

We loved the location everything was a short drive away. We were right by the pond! It was gorgeous. There was plenty of amenities it felt like a home away from home. My only issue was that I didn’t know a dog lives at the home when it’s not a vacation home. I am allergic to dogs so we had to invest in some allergy medicine aside from that my stay was amazing there and I really loved having such a cozy spot to stay while away.
Such a great experience! I came to southern Maine to visit family and didn’t want to stay in a hotel, I’m glad I chose this home in Buxton. Even being right next to the boat landing it was still very quiet and peaceful, all the neighbors were great and welcoming. Location was convenient as well as it’s roughly 20-30 minutes from Saco and Portland so many things to do regardless of where you prefer to go.
All cooking appliances/grill were available to use, so I was able to save money by cooking all my meals there rather than eating out.
I kept in contact with the owner, Crystal, and she was incredible. Easy to check in/out and she’s very personable and easy to chat with. I highly recommended staying here! I’m looking forward to coming back again next year!

From the owner: "I’m glad that you were happy with your stay! Looking forward to having you back again. I may continue to rent throughout fall winter spring. Thank you for the firewood!"

Small, tidy, everything you need for a comfortable stay.
Very nicely appointed small place for two people. Tall people may have trouble with the centrally located ceiling fan, but two 5 foot tall women found it perfect for our needs. It's a quiet neighborhood at the end of September.

Hi Linda, the homeowner has asked us to share this response:
I am glad that you were comfortable in the cottage and enjoyed the neighborhood! The ceiling fan is approximately 6 feet 3 inches from the floor to the bottom of the light. It's a nice addition to the living room over the summer, though it is an obstacle that very tall people will have to pay attention to.
Crystal's cabin was the perfect couple's weekend getaway. The cottage has all the modern conveniences one could want (wifi, updated and fully furnished kitchen, etc.), and has a cozy, cheery design throughout. The yard has a fire pit, comfy chairs and cornhole, and the house is just a few short steps from the water! We truly felt relaxed and at home as soon as we walked in, and hope we have a chance to stay here again. Thanks, Crystal!
