We enjoyed staying at this house. Great for a family get together. We loved cooking in the spacious kitchen and spending time together in the dining /living room. The kids loved the basement and the pingpong table very much.

We appreciate everything about the property the Lapp family where very kind and helpful. One suggestion will to trim back the shrubs coming in along the drive way it was coming close to the sides of our vehicles . Everything else was great and very much appreciated. Perfect!

This property was absolutely perfect for my husband and I and 2 teenage boys. We were in the area for a lacrosse tournament. Home was clean, quiet and in a great location. Great place to come home to and relax after a long hot day of sports. Boys especially liked the ping pong table! Highly recommend, would definitely stay there again.

Wish there was a TV. Otherwise, very good place for my family and I to stay while running around the area preparing for our move West. Clean, basic, and to the point. The back yard, play set, and play area that was inside was perfect for our toddler. Could use a booster for cell calls, but WiFi works well. All in all a good value and a safe, clean and quiet place.

Peaceful home in a beautiful scenic area

We had a wonderful week in the Hibernia Knoll Cottage. The house and huge lot make it easy to relax and enjoy nature. I truly enjoyed having my morning coffee on the back deck overlooking the landscaped yard and listening to the birds. Not quite Fall, the leaves were just starting to change adding a magic touch to the area. The house had everything we needed. The house was very clean. The kitchen is well stocked and easy to find things. Lots of towels and extras. The WiFi/Internet was strong and fast, enabling us to make some video calls to keep in touch with family. We had a very relaxing and relaxing week here.

Beautiful Quiet Stay in a Simple and Peaceful Home

Comfortable home, quite neighborhood, family-owned home. The house is fairly well equipped in the kitchen. The furniture and furnishings are not new, but they are comfortable and work well. The owner was thoughtful and flexible in allowing us to check in early. Phone calls seem to be more successful in reaching the owner than email, text messages, etc. Both patio tables did not have chairs for sitting out on the patio. We were told that there were camping fold out chairs in the basement. It ended up being functional, but required a bit of effort. I was surprised it was quite different than the pictures that show chairs/umbrella on the patio. If you enjoy sitting outside on the patio for a meal, I would ask the owner if they have been able to get chairs for the patio yet.

Perfect Complement to Lancaster County Touring

The house is lovely—just like in the photos. We even took autum family photos in the yard! It felt very much like a retreat. Everything was cozy and inviting, from the decor and furniture to the coffee mugs! We were visiting the area to enjoy the autumn leaves and also to learn more about Amish lifestyle and culture. This house felt like an extension of the peace, grace, and love we found while visiting with Amish shopkeepers and tour guides in Lancaster (which was 25 minutes away, with a beautiful drive). We also went to Hershey’s Chocolate World while there—just over an hour drive—and Philly—just under an hour. Overall, a wonderful escape!

We came to town to run a Tough Mudder obstacle course race. We were only 20 minutes from the course and the house was a perfect place to return to after the race. Air conditioned, clean, quiet, and multiple showers!

Needed stay for family emergency

The hosts were absolutely wonderful and easily accessible. Their neighbor assisted us with check in and questions. This property is wonderful for a getaway place. It is serene and peaceful. If you are looking for a location closer to the big city we would recommend going closer to the big city. We would highly recommend this facility for young families who are looking for a getaway.

The location was spectacular! The house is very private with a large yard with a swing set for kids and a great fire pit with wood which we used. There were 6 of us and the house accommodated us well. There was a downstairs playroom with a ping pong table and a card table near a gas fireplace. The living room also had a gas fireplace which is nice. There was a playroom for kids with toys, although we didn't have kids. The house was very clean and the host was very accomodating and he lives nearby. With family nearby, this house was perfect for our Thanksgiving.

Parents and family of the groom

This home was the perfect place for our family of 4. A welcoming note from the owners with a dozen of fresh eggs were the first of the great surprises awaiting us. The beautiful sunrise greeted us each morning in the spacious window-filled kitchen and dining room. The fireplaces added to the coziness of the visit as well as a pingpong table for some friendly competition in the evening. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Many thanks to the Ladds!!
