Every detail has been thought of in this English basement apartment transforming it into a fresh, trendy space that guests can call their home, the place to enjoy the city at your fingertips!

The Space:
Live like a well-situated local in our Bloomingdale apartment. We can comfortably sleep 4 guests by use of the queen sized bed in the bedroom, and the queen pull-out sofa bed in the living space. 

Guests will have free wifi, 2 large SmartTVs offering streaming, (allowing continued binge watching of their favorite shows from their favorite apps), and a cute and super functional desk space for those coming to DC for work.

Besides the amazing location, guests will have all essentials at their fingertips. There is a spacious and very well stocked kitchen (complete with a cocktail station, keurig, and more) and creature comforts like a dehumidifier and air purifier. 

Guests will find themselves in a bright, cozy space perfect for resting your head amidst sight-seeing and restaurant hopping!

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the entire apartment and your own entrance, it is not shared.

There is a family living upstairs. Please note that the everyday sounds and noises of family life (footsteps, stairs, kids playing, etc.) can be heard in both directions. You will undoubtedly hear them (and they will hear you) as they go about their everyday life.

The Neighborhood:
Bloomingdale/Shaw neighborhood is a trendy neighborhood, popular with families and the younger DC crowd. It's residential, but has great access to downtown. If you want to stay in the neighborhood, stroll a few blocks down the magnificent tree-lined streets to find neighborhood favorites like Red Hen, Bacio Pizzeria, Big Bear Cafe, Showtime, The Royal, and so much more! Pop down to Yoga District for your daily workout, the (secret-shhh!) Crispus Attucks Park for a picnic or head over to Sylvan Cafe for coffee and a quick treat. And there are many more great food options in the NoMA / Gallaudet and Bloomingdale neighborhoods. We provide a property guide crammed full of our local favorites!

Getting Around:
No need for a car at this location! Both the NoMa-Gallaudet U Metro Station (red line) and the Shaw / Howard University Station (yellow and green lines) are a short, 15 minute walk from the apartment. Buses are plentiful in the area and you can catch 5 different bus lines within 4 blocks of the house. For those looking for something more active, guests can WALK to the White House, Smithsonian Museums, and so much more in just over half an hour. DC National Airport is a short 17 minute ride/uber from the home.
