The Shirk family was so easy to deal with. Available by phone whenever needed and extremely helpful and friendly.
The cabin far exceeded our expectations. It was like going to Grandma's house for a sleep over. Everything we needed (and more) was available. All the comforts of home hidden deep in the woods. That is, if your "all" does not include paved roads, phone and internet. And OUR "all" certainly does NOT include them. The best place in the world to un-plug and un-wind. (Just as the owner advised - the internet and cell phone service was a short drive away - at the top of the mountain.). Private, secluded, clean, well-appointed, wonderful, reasonably priced and over all; PERFECT.!!!
The owner was wonderful. There is no signal there at all, so be prepared. That’s not a bad thing! Lots to do in the area.
The outside deck and front porch needs some TLC. But it is in the woods.

Great for people that want to relax
If you are looking for a relaxing place with no WiFi, cell phone service, or television this is the place to go. If you are looking for something else, this is not the place. Google will not get you to this property and you are given really bad directions from the property owners. For the love of God don't try and find it in the dark! The house was clean but has a really bad musty smell. When you arrive you will need to turn on the water heater and figure out how to turn on the heat. The house was freezing and nobody was able to shower until the next morning. When you are finally ready for bed you will have to find the linens because none of the beds are made. All in all the property was ok, but could be so much better.

Response from VrboOwner on 1 June 2022
From the owners: "We are sorry to hear you were less than thrilled with your stay.
-All linens are provided in the closets in each bedroom, and it is stated in our listing that there is no WiFi or TV.
-The hot water is always hot within an hour.
-We let you know not to go by google directions. We then gave you the exact directions verbally.
-There is a simple 1-step to turn on the heat, and the heat is almost instantaneous. We would have been happy to walk you through this if needed.
Thank you for your feedback and we are glad you otherwise enjoyed your stay."
