All of the fun extra details really enhanced our experience at Timberline Lodge - the ping pong table, hot tub, the wii and more! We love staying here!!
This house is very close to the slopes, offers rustic comfort alongside modern amenities, and is ideal for accommodating large groups. With spacious interiors, it provides the perfect balance of convenience and coziness, making it the ideal retreat for a ski getaway with friends or family. I highly recommended for those seeking a mountain escape with room for everyone and a personal touch.
We had a fantastic time at this property and the convenience was unmatched! This same group has been skiing together for 38 years and this is probably our favorite house ever. We may rebook next year! Thanks so much for a wonderful time
This property fit our group just perfectly! Being within walking distance of South Lodge at Sunday River was a great perk! The weather didn't cooperate with our ski plans, and high winds grounded us for the last part of our trip, but this house provided plenty of space and things to do right here - - from ping-pong to hot tubing to a cozy fireplace where we toasted marshmallows and did puzzles. It made a "bad" situation enjoyable! We loved our stay here and everyone is talking about returning to try again in better weather conditions.
Overall our stay at Timberline was great. Upon arrival, we had a small issue with the water pressure at the property. After contacting host, issue was resolved fast. The location is EXCELLENT. Extremely close to Sunday River, local restaurants, small grocery store, and other shops.
House was pretty well equipped, only suggestion I would have would be to provide basic toiletrie items (shampoo, soap, conditioner).
Overall, would recommend listing, and would stay here again.
This house was great. Very roomy and spacious - lots of heated floors to keep you warm!
Great mud room for keeping everything clean. Whirlpool was very nice (don't wear a nice bathing suit because it will be ruined with the chemicals!)
- Would say that there is only one king bed even though most of the bedrooms could handle bigger beds - was a. little hard to figure out who got that room even though they were all nice.
Would say that some of the property needs a little bit of updating (couch isn't very comfortable, one dishwasher seemed to be falling out, some tiles in the master bathroom were cracked, exterior door handles a little loose), but all small issues.
It's overall a nice property and location with a perfect mudroom situation for skiers. We had plenty of space and comfortable beds. As ski properties go, it's a little beat up but clean. Dishwashers don't actually get dishes clean, broken tiles in master bathroom, there is a disarray of items around the fireplace, as well as beat up lights with broken shades. We were told that a running toilet had drained the well just prior to our stay but we had no issues with showers or water shortages during our stay which was a relief. Overall, you pay for your location and space within the house. Although, technically it would be nice to have attention to detail paying these types of prices.
Tired house needs some TLC (although in great location!)
The house was in a fantastic location, essentially the back end of the parking lot to South Lodge (so a 5-10 min walk in ski boots). The house was huge, had a ton of space for our two families. Lots of games for kids and ping pong was a hit. Lots of towels, some spices/coffee filters, oil, etc. Hot tub was awesome.
There were, however, several things that made us feel like it was a bit expensive for what we got. Beds were pretty uncomfortable (i.e., bottom of bunk beds were futon mattresses) and could use more comfortable pillows/bedding. Towel rack broken off bathroom wall, broken lamp in living room, running shower in basement bathroom, dishwasher tipped under the counter, etc (we reported these things to maintenance so hopefully will get fixed). Water pressure was not great and only one person could shower at a time.
None of these things ruined our time, but we just felt like the home was a little tired and definitely feels like a rental until only.
