The host had good communication and the house was mostly what we expected. However, the house is fairly beat up, the hot tub did not get warm the whole trip, and several door handles were loose/off. The bedrooms and bathrooms were great with plenty of comfortable beds/towels. Kitchen and living area were great for our needs.
It really is a great place to stay. My friends and I had a enjoyed the place.

Nice cabin
The home is nice and pretty spacious, can comfortably fit up to 4 families. The view towards the lake from the kitchen table or patio is lovely. Location is good. However, the rental can definitely use some improvements. The good: updated bathrooms (1 for each bedroom!), good quality stove, refrigerator, TV.
The not so good: fireplace is old and not operational, doors and floors are squeaky, stove aspirator is very loud, spice rack super old and half empty. Bed covers quite worn. The house can use a better stock of spices and condiments. No tea provided. Importantly, the driveway wasn’t fully cleaned up of ice and snow when we got there. There was also no salt provided and we had to buy some and use shovel so that the cars can comfortably park and we wouldn’t slip and fall.
Otherwise, the host was responsive for questions. We had a good stay but I don’t think the value was fully there for the money we spent!
My family and I spent the weekend at this beautiful home for my son’s 18th birthday. He brought his snowboarding buddies along and the proximity to Northstar was great. My daughter and I made use of TART connect and were able to get to town during the snowstorm and Christmas shop and have an amazing lunch at Fat Cat Bar and Grill. The driveway was no joke in the snow, if you don’t have 4 wheel drive and it’s winter be aware. Also, bring along towels specifically for the hot tub. The home owner supplied exactly 12 towels for our 12 guests and the teens struggled to have something to use. Thankfully having a washer and dryer solved the problem. The homes view of the lake is stunning!! I could have stayed at the window all weekend. This rental is one for the books for sure! We hope to be back!!
This property and it's caretakers were absolutely fantastic for our trip to Carnelian Bay in late August. The space was totally able to accommodate a party of 11, and everyone absolutely enjoyed the space. The morning views of the lake in the sun from the balcony were fantastic, and the space was relatively close to many fun spots to explore!
The local town was only about a 5-10 minute drive away, so it was perfectly convenient to get to. There were also several hikes about 10-20 minutes away from the property that were very accessible and gorgeous to wander through.
Regarding the space itself, the multiple clean bathrooms in this home were a must for a party as large as ours. The kitchen/living room area all had ample seating, and we were all able to spread out comfortably to either watch movies or play games in the evening. A huge perk as well is that all the amenities were modernized and intuitive, so it was a breeze to get the home exactly how we wanted it to be.
This spot is a perfect home base for a larger party to stay at during the summer, and I would absolutely try my hand at staying here again in the winter to experience it in that way.
