It was a great little spot and the room was clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, we didnt stay long enough! Definitely recommend! The beach nearby was fantastic!

So close to a fabulous beach

What a fabulous beach with access along a dune walkway from the driveway - right opposite Whale/Moutohora Island. Lee-Anne’s studio was spotless, with a very comfortable bed and great shower. Perfect for our dog too with its small fenced garden. The photos don’t do it justice.

Wonderful place to relax

Such a wonderful place to relax. The space was perfect for us and very clean and tidy. The fully fenced section was ideal for our dog. Would highly recommend.

Overnight spot close to beach for a walk

Clean, modern with friendly owners and dog! Private own courtyard area and BBQ/kitchen for putting together a meal. A great overnight spot for on our way through to East Cape. The Beach is just through a walkway next to property.

Long weekend

My partner, me and our two dogs had a lovely weekend up here. Beautiful place to stay at lovely fenced area for your dogs. Beach so close. Was supper easy to communicate with the property manager and got a very fast response for a question I had. Would definitely recommend to stay there to anyone who is travelling to Whakatāne.

Comfortable dog-friendly retreat by the sea

A very clean, quiet and comfortable unit in an excellent location. We enjoyed being able to bring our dog and walk her along the beach. Despite a very stormy weather event we were able to retreat to the comfort of the house. Highly recommended.

Perfect haven

A wonderful peaceful haven for my partner and myself plus our cavoodle Molly to unwind , fish , walk along the beach, relax , and just be. A very short walk to the beach , a beautifully presented unit with everything you need for cooking if you want to. Leanne and Gary were attentive and wonderful hosts and the neighbours all very friendly. We will return. Highly recommend. Can’t fault our stay. Excellent value for money also.

Beautiful Location

Our stay was great. The accommodations were lovely. Very clean and tidy. Friendly Host. Beautiful upscale quiet neighborhood. Literally a minute's walk from the beach. 8 min drive to shops and restaurants in town centre. All facilities for cooking your own meals if you wanted to. We had breakfast daily on site, had lunch and dinner in town. All up, a really comfortable relaxing stay.

So disappointed, we didn't even stay longer than two hours due to the strong dog smell in the room, the parking was terrible trailer parked across where we were supposed to park and wooden planks down the side, very unwelcoming for a paying guest, felt like we were intruding on owners space, Was not even offered a refund when I spoke with the owner! after advising them of the smell in the room. We had to stay at a Motel which added extra costs to our holiday. Would not recommend staying here.

What a piece of paradise, super quiet, spotless and very comfy bed. Hosts were just lovely and we will stay again. Also minutes to the beach where the fish just leap out of the water at your feet (according to host as it happened to him on the day).10/10

Homely well cared for holiday home

Awesome people with a quiet and homely property, our best friend Mana the dog also enjoyed the freedom the property offered - a great place for some valuable R and R. Well recommended.
