A quiet comfortable space in the trees close to all the attractions of Denmark
Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. This substantial 2 story brick home is set amongst half an acre of fenced mature trees and gardens, on a quiet street surrounded by Karris but minutes from central Denmark. Picture windows and balcony make the most of the natural beauty, and the layout of the house makes it great for 2 families.
The space This spacious property has high raked ceilings and face brick feature walls in the main living area, with large windows which take in the outlook of Karri trees to the front and side and lush mature trees and gardens to the rear.
The house has the kitchen and main living areas upstairs to capture the views and accomodate the sloping block. The entry is into the lounge which has a comfortable leather suite, and a smart TV and Blu ray player, as well as a cosy wood heater and a split system heater/cooler. There is free wifi. The dining room has large picture windows with views over the trees, leading into a modern well equipped kitchen with dishwasher. A balcony adjoins the dining area overlooking the garden, with a bbq conveniently located there.
The master bedroom is spacious with another large picture window with a king bed. Adjacent is the second bedroom with 2 single beds, and a bathroom and toilet. A set of stairs leads down to the ground floor where there are a further 2 large bedrooms each with queen beds. One of these also has a sofa which converts into a single bed. There is also a seperate living area with a double sofa bed and second tv and DVD player, plus games and beanbags for the kids. The flooring in the downstairs bedrooms and living area is black butt style vinyl plank.
There is also a ping pong table available for your use. The 2nd bathroom and toilet on the ground floor make the house great for 2 families. The laundry has a washing machine and dryer and leads out to a gazebo in the garden with an outdoor setting.
The gardens are peaceful and lush, and are fully fenced, with mature fruit and olive trees trees and other mature trees, both native and introduced.
Guest access There is free parking on the property for 2 or more cars. The Bibblumun track and inlet are a short walk away and the town of Denmark a short drive away. Ocean Beach, Greens Pool and Lights Beach are also a short drive away.
PLEASE NOTE: Pillows, doonas, blankets and teatowels are provided, however guests will need to bring their own bed linen and towels. The master bed is a king size. If king size sheets are not readily available two flat queen size sheets can be used.
During winter the primary heating is the split system in the lounge with oil heaters for bedrooms if required. The wood heater is also available for use but needs to be used carefully and should have ash cleaned out after a couple of uses for maximum efficiency ( ash can be put on front garden). If I have cut firewood available I will leave a box inside. More firewood should be available outside, although some larger blocks may need to be split for that purpose. Axe, block splitter and saw are available.
I have tried to keep the cleaning fee to a minimum on the basis that guests will leave the house clean and tidy after their stay.
There are steepish internal stairs from the kitchen and main living areas to the ground floor which may make the house unsuitable for people who find stairs difficult. Parents with toddlers may also need to consider the safety of such stairs.
A dog may be allowed with prior approval and subject to a $150 pet bond at my discretion. Only well behaved house trained dogs will be considered. No dogs to be left inside alone, and all evidence of a dog to be removed prior to the end of the stay.

The Kitchen was lovely and really well equipped. looking out over the trees was so tranquil and loved the huge windows throughout. Definitely plan on staying there again.
The house is in a beautiful location. Very clean and well equipped. Bed rooms large with clean sheets and towels. Secure backyard. Highly recommend this property
The balcony was awesome to watch the birds got some great pictures of them. My 2 dogs loved the backyard running and hiding on each other. Prime position to go all the places we wanted to go.Thankyou
Older style accommodation with big windows, looking out onto lovely tree canopy. Lots of lovely bird life. Plenty of room and well appointed. Quiet. Would stay again.
Nice comfortable home suitable for a large family in a lovely setting. Enjoyed the log fire. The property had all the amenities you could wish for and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The setting among the treetops was lovely and we enjoyed the birds frequenting the balcony
Thoroughly enjoyed our 10 days stay. Very peaceful location, and short distance to local shops and beaches. Make sure you get some bird seeds as the parrots do come for a feed right on the balcony
The property was peaceful and relaxing, overall 10/10. My only suggestion for improvement is that the hot and cold shower handles in the upstairs bathroom were very stiff making it difficult to get the temperature right easily. We loved the bird feeder on the verandah too.
The property is spacious, big enough for two families. It is very well equipped. Nespresso machine, filtered water... We loved feeding the birds and watch them eat on the balcony. Host was superb. We were given instructions on how to get to Wilson Inlet
This was a perfect and comfortable place for old friends and family to catch up and chill in Denmark with easy access to walks, the beaches and many wineries.
A great house to stay in, close to the beautiful inlet. The kitchen was really well equipped and the spilt system heater kept us nice and warm. Some very friendly parrots and magpies were a bonus!
Great house, feels like you are in the tree canopy upstairs. So nice to have our dog with us. We rode bikes into town and walked along the estuary on the bib track close to the house.
Perfect for much needed rest.
House very comfortable and well equipped.
Very much a home.
Wifi, Netflix and roaring fire perfect for rainy day relaxing.
Location great. Everything great.
We will be back in summer!
We only used upstairs so cannot comment on the lower floor.
The kitchen and living rooms work well, they have everything you need.
The bed is huge and very comfortable.
The parrots visiting the balcony are lovely.
The outlook through the trees is very relaxing.
Was a lovely stay as a base for a couple of families. Located very close to main town and a great access point to get out and about. Well suited if you are looking for a place with multiple rooms/beds but not planning on spending too much time at the house. Kitchen was great and modern though for cooking meals.
Not much space outside for activities and a few spiders - so kids tended to stay inside. But with activity room downstairs there was plenty for them to do.
A beautiful holiday house in the trees. It was spotless when we arrived, and we were pleasantly surprised to find everything provided - including linen !We rapidly fell in love with the wild parrots and birds who visit the feeder, and got deeply involved in their funny little ways. There’s plenty of room, and the way its set up with two big bedrooms and a family room on the ground floor - as well as the two bedrooms on the top floor - means it would be perfect for three couples, or three families with children. The kitchen is very new, the rest of the house is a bit older – but it’s all quite charming. The only thing I would say is that the internal stairs are quite steep, and my elderly parents really struggled with them. This was easily solved by putting them on the top floor !It’s only a 10 minute drive along a beautiful scenic drive into town. And it’s about 15 or 20 minutes on a bicycle depending on how fit you are !! There are also some absolutely beautiful walking trails nearby as well.If what you’re looking for is a lovely family holiday, then this house is absolutely perfect. It makes an excellent base to explore the surrounding countryside, and all the interesting things to do and see around Denmark and Albany.
We really liked the location of the house. The host was super helpful when I needed to communicate. The upstairs of the house is ok, but the downstairs had a musty smell, the bedrooms need new mattresses, one of the beds was very noisy, my friends who stayed in the room below the stairs needed to wash the blankets before they could use , the smell was bad. The Bbq is very good and works well, but there wasn't a spare gas bottle. The gas ran out when we were preparing New Year's Eve dinner, and we needed to go out to buy it. The table in the backyard was impossible to use. It was very dirty, I believe it hasn't been cleaned for a long time. When we left, we left the house clean as requested, and to vacuum the carpets, we had to empty the two vacuum cleaners that were full of dust. The kitchen is the best place in the house, but we miss a blender. Anyway, despite everything we enjoyed our stay, we found a good house that, once renovated, will be much better for welcoming guests. The best thing about the house was feeding the birds and seeing them hanging out on the balcony must of the time.

This is an inaccurate and very surprising review. The house is of the age and condition as pictured in the photos. The guest told me ‘during her stay ‘we love the house’.
Denmark can get damp but no one else has complained of mustiness since the downstairs had vinyl floors installed in November 2022. Similarly the beds in the master bedroom and the twin bedroom have been replaced in that timeframe. The other beds have never been an issue, although I will look into this.
This guest seems to have had unrealistic expectations - an outdoor table is impossible to keep clean in Denmark unless used all the time, and a vacuum cleaner usually has dust in it. The property is pet friendly - she brought her dog - so a vacuum is there for guests to use. She also messaged me and seemed to think I should be somehow responsible for a Denmark wide power outage!
What she also doesn’t mention is that I offered to reimburse her for the bbq gas bottle. And that she failed to put all of her rubbish in the council bin even though it wasn’t completely full, and instead left it outside the bin in front of the house (where animals got into it and spread it around the front yard). She also failed to put the bins on the road as requested for collection so it wasn’t collected by the council (did she think the rubbish truck would come down the driveway to get the bin, plus rubbish left outside of the bin??). That left my cleaner to have to deal with rubbish not collected and spread around the yard before the next guests arrived.
We had a wonderful stay. Easy to get to, great walks in the neighbourhood. Large house with everything you will need. Great fun to feed the parrots by hand in the morning and sit by the fire in the evening. Love the area.
Our group of high-school friends has been going to various places, each year choosing somewhere different to go. This was a perfect fit for the number of us, a great secluded-feeling spot, and also close to the shopping centre of Denmark. All around, a great place to stay.
Fantastic clean and warm property. Great host and the house was lots of fun for the family. Perfect location for Denmark.

Why they chose this property
We brought this property in Denmark as our family holiday home. It was large enough for 2 families to holiday together and with all the features you need for a comfortable stay.
What makes this property unique
The large picture windows and light living areas let you be inside while taking in the beautiful leafy surrounds of this part of Denmark.
