Cute, clean, and cozy with a view!

We loved our stay at the cute little Red Barn! So clean and comfortable with a beautiful view and a very well-stocked pantry and fridge with more than just snacks - such great hospitality that you don’t find often! The porch is enclosed and our lab loved sitting with us outside while we rocked in the breeze. Very thoughtful owners that were great to us. We will definitely return!

Awesome place

It was so cozy and had a great view. Very private and just what we needed. We will be returning to this small but very well put together place. I loved the fireplace. It was cold when we went so it was perfect.

Best vacation rental anywhere!

Martha and David are some of the friendliest people i've ever met. The place was immaculate and very well designed. Everywhere you turn around, there's some very clever use of space and recycled pallets and othermaterials. The antique furniture, and furnishings were spot on in their placement for decoration. The pantry and food stock was generously supplied with everything one needs. If I could rate it a 10, I would!

Perfect getaway

So much can be said about this little red barn! Such character and detail in this property! The owner did an excellent job in utilizing every space and added such unique personal touches! We enjoyed watching the deer play from the recently installed hot tub, which was such a nice surprise. I would definitely recommend this property!

Relaxing with great view!

The Red Barn is the perfect home away from home! From the comfortable bed to the hot tub on the deck, everything is just wonderful! David & Martha have thought of everything you could possibly want/need while staying there—blueberry muffins, eggs, sausage, fruit, coffee, toothbrush & toothpaste, deodorant (in case you forget), I could go on & on! We will be back soon! Moncy & James—Grapevine, Tx. 2/3-2/6/23

Beautiful views of hill country!

We loved staying at the Red Barn! We enjoying sitting on the generous deck watching the sunrise in the mornings and feeling the cool breezes in the evenings , viewing the deer and hummingbirds, and taking in the gorgeous view of the hill country. The place itself was so fun and creative with cabinetry made from old palettes and tin, interesting antique memorabilia everywhere and well stocked with food and drinks. Everything was in good working order and clean, comfortable bed, great shower and breakfast nook. We cooked all our meals using the well appointed kitchen and outdoor grill/oven. David and Martha were amazing hosts and very responsive. We hope to come back!

Charming Red Barn

The Red Barn had everything you would ever need. There were muffins waiting for us and the kitchen was stocked with water, snacks, etc. The deck had a table and a grill. There is a gate to the deck which allowed our pups to hang out with us and watch the deer below. We enjoyed looking at all of the decor in the house and continued noticing items throughout our stay. The hosts are wonderful and we will definitely be back!

One of Texas’s best!

We have been B&B for about 38 years for our anniversaries mostly in the hill country. This was a gem find. David’s friendliness and willingness to tell us about his Red Barn project was fascinating, along with all the unique details he put into it! We enjoyed our well equipped B&B and left with some great ideas for our own home! Thank you David for the added touches that made our stay so great. The Humble Fork was our first meal and it was great- fried avocados were excellent and memorable! Great margaritas’s too! The other eateries a disappointment!

So cute & tons of extras

My husband and I just left the Red Barn. We had a great stay. I can't say enough about all of the extra touches put into this"tiny home!!" The hosts have thought about everything from toothbrushes to water, soda, fresh eggs, snacks, Danish, and venison sausage!! They even hung up birthday balloons and a banner for my husband. The kayaking is not on site but the host will transport the kayaks to the river when you want to use them. Seeing deer stroll thru the yard throughout the morning and evenings was so relaxing from the porch! I'd definitely recommend this home for a couple's get away!!

Outstanding Hospitality

The Red Barn was amazing, David and Martha thought of everything. The barn was built by David, he maximized every inch of space and the attention to detail was outstanding. They stocked the place with snacks, drinks, fresh eggs and told us if we needed anything to just reach out. Martha would put out deer corn each morning and evening to bring the deer right up to the place. We sat the on the porch overlooking the property, watching the deer, sunrise and sunset was beautiful. The BBQ area on the porch has been updated and he has built in a really nice BBQ area, with an outside fridge, TV along with the gas grill. We will be coming back.

The house was lovely. It was super cute and loved looking at the decorations. Smelled wonderful when we walked in. Very clean and provided all cooking needs and wants for starting your day with a beautiful view on the porch. We intended to bring our pup but didn't due to travel issues. The pup sheet, food/water station, treats and outside kennel were such a nice addition. We got this place all because of the pup amenity of keeping the house and pup safe while attending my Dad's memorial. We needed to have our pup with us during this time of mourning; unfortunately all of us could not travel so pup stayed at home. We will return as this place was a very peaceful place and we truly loved our stay. Thank you for providing a beautiful little RB that made our trip peaceful during a very emotional time of accepting death. Sincerely, Nicole

Best VRBO we’ve ever been to

We spent the weekend in Kerrville. This property was the highlight of the trip. The property owners spend a lot of time making sure this place feels like home. The accommodations were excellent and the location is perfect. Will be staying here again when we return to Kerrville!

The Red Barn was just right

Our family of four enjoyed staying at the Red Barn very much. What a pleasure to find the place stocked with various foods and drinks, a "welcome" breakfast pastry, and even dog treats for our pet.The Red Barn is nicely constructed; everything works and is cleverly designed for the cozy space. The place felt bigger than I had anticipated! The sliding door to the bedroom is on a smooth, quiet rail, offering privacy from the main living area. The queen-sized Lazy Boy sleeper sofa in the living room was comfortable for lounging in the daytime and for sleeping at night. The queen-sized bed in the bedroom was also very comfortable. Even the shower was larger than I had expected. The electric fireplace was very efficient to warm up the place on a brisk morning. We had enough pillows to go around, and we asked for an extra blanket, which was delivered promptly by our host. There was a guitar available to play, adding to the ambiance. The deck is a very inviting place, with a view of the hills, two rocking chairs, a patio table for four, and a gate that latches, which was handy for having our dog lounge with us on the deck. We had originally planned to eat out for dinner, but the weather and the view were so nice, we opted to grill steaks and eat out on the deck. The corn hole game in the yard was fun, too. The kennel under the deck for our dog was spacious, clean, well-maintained, sheltered and secure, not to mention air-conditioned, if we had needed it.The property is situated on a non-through street, so there was very little traffic on the road, and the surroundings were quiet and starry at night. We made excursions into both Kerrville and Bandera during our stay and found plenty to do, while also having time to relax back at the Barn.We felt very taken care of by our hosts. I would highly recommend staying at the Red Barn.

Best stay ever!

First of all the location was absolutely perfect. Do you feel like you’re out in the country but you’re five minutes from city conveniences. The attention to detail for guest comfort was absolutely amazing in this little place. They have absolutely thought of everything. They left fresh sausage and eggs, fruit, vegetables, and cold bottles of water , soda and tea. We were so impressed with everything! We brought our small dog and he loved it! You can completely close the gate on the porch and your dog cannot get out and other animals cannot get in. I cannot recommend this place enough. Perfect for a couple and a dog or maybe a couple and one child. They have a grill outside on the porch with a gorgeous view and also have a television that hides up behind. We sat out and grilled steaks and watch football. It was an absolutely wonderful weekend.!!!! Thank you!!!!
