Wairere is one of the finest country estates in the district featuring a luxury 4 bedroom homestead plus separate 1 bedroom cottage with spacious indoor and outdoor living areas, all nestled within 4 acres of beautiful Edna Walling designed gardens. Stunning garden & rural views abound from every room - outdoor living areas lead to stone edged gardens, pool & tennis court. Located on a quiet country lane only 10 mins to Mansfield or Lake Eildon - 20 mins to Mt Buller gate. A tranquil, relaxing escape ideal for families and couples in both summer and winter.

THE HOMESTEAD:

Wairere's main living room features two large comfy leather lounges, the perfect place to curl up to enjoy the open fire, glass of wine and a movie on our large Smart TV. Alternatively, you may wish to enjoy the second lounge and choose from our selection of games or books to while away a lazy hour or two.

There is ducted heating and cooling throughout the homestead plus panel heaters and ceiling fans in some rooms including the covered outdoor area.

The main homestead features 4 well-appointed bedrooms (7 beds in total) with stunning garden views from every room. The bedroom options are as follows:

Master Bedroom - King bed with ensuite bathroom

Bedroom 2 - Super King bed

Bedroom 3 - Single over double bed plus trundle accommodating a couple or range of family options.

Bedroom 4 - King Single plus inner spring trundle (full height for added comfort).

Our two bathrooms, separate toilet and laundry feature washer and dryer machines, heated towel rails, toiletries and hairdryer. For our skiers we also offer a drying cupboard in the laundry.

Our kitchen is the heart of the home and is fully equipped with full size fridge, large 90cm cooktop and oven, Miele dishwasher, microwave and quality dinnerware and appliances. It is located adjacent to the large 12 seat dining room with stunning rural views. The covered outdoor dining area and pool is also just around the corner - on those warm summer mornings you can step straight from the kitchen to the private outdoor BBQ area to enjoy a cool beverage or dip in the pool.

Original artwork and designer furniture decorate this stylish home, the features are too many to include, however rest assured every space has been interior designed with comfort, practicality and serenity at front of mind.

Finally, the covered front veranda provides another sitting area with two outdoor lounges and is a fabulous spot to enjoy a glass of wine or cup of tea while enjoying the beautiful rural and garden views.

WAIRERE NEST COTTAGE:

Our 'Wairere Nest' Retreat is a separate fully self contained one bedroom cottage nestled in our glorious gardens only a few steps from the main homestead. The character wood-lined cottage features a separate bedroom with comfortable queen bed, separate bathroom with Rinnai gas heated shower, toilet and sink. The cottage can comfortably accommodate up to 4-5 guests with a double inner spring Moran sofa bed in the lounge (mattress topper provided for additional comfort) and an additional single pull-out inner spring bed in an alcove off the bedroom (suitable for children or young adult). Full kitchen amenities are also provided enabling guests to be completely self sufficient from the main homestead.

A split system, woodheater, ceiling fans plus an electric blanket on the queen bed, are provided to ensure you feel comfortable year round. Wairere Nest is the perfect option for multi-generational family groups, and would be ideal for parents/grandparents who would appreciate a quiet retreat to come and go from as they please.

PLEASE NOTE:

1. We can accommodate a maximum of 14 guests (inc. infants) at the property. Our separate 1 bedroom fully self-contained cottage is included in the rate.

2. We only accept bookings from family groups and groups over 28 years. Please ensure you add details about yourself and other guests to your booking so we know who is coming and what your reason for travel (particularly important if you don’t have any reviews).

3. Strictly no loud music and no events including bucks/hens nights and birthday parties. No noise outdoors after10pm.

4. Weekend bookings. If you are checking out on a Saturday or Sunday we can usually accommodate late checkouts for an additional $300 which allows you to stay up to 5pm that day. If you would like to take advantage of this offer please let us know in your booking.

5. The solar heated pool is available for use from mid September - April (including school holidays). Outside of these dates the pool will be covered to protect it from leaves and debris.

6. Young Children - Guests should note that Wairere is a working farm with unfenced water, farm animals and wildlife nearby, therefore guests with younger children should consider these risks before booking.
