The location of Blue Rocks is fantastic for day trips around the province. The house was extremely clean and comfortable with an excellent view of the ocean. Well equipped and comfortable bed.
This is our second year here. The place was very clean and comfy. Great base for all our travelling and a spectacular view of the ocean right in front of us and on our walks.
This is a very comfortable and well-appointed house in a stunning location. It is very close to the town of Lunnenberg which is very attractive, has some excellent restaurants and museums, and offers everything we needed for a one week stay. We would be happy to recommend it to others and to go back ourselves
Excellent accomodations for myself, husband, and two teenagers. 5 minutes from town, peaceful and quiet. The stars were bright and the seagulls woke us every morning. A family of deer with 2 fawn greeted us in the yard a few mornings as well. Kids are insisting on coming back next summer!
We really enjoyed our stay - The cottage is bright, clean and comfortable. The location is terrific - beautiful scenery and very close to Lunenburg. Very relaxing!
We enjoyed our two week stay at this property very much. It is comfortable, peaceful and relaxing and offers everything one needs. The tranquility and fresh air were restorative for us both. Lunenburg and Mahone Bay offer a number of good restaurants and we enjoyed several of them. The kitchen at this property has everything we needed to prepare meals on site when we didn't eat out. We loved visiting Keji Park Adjunct to walk and stopped at The Quarterdeck Grill in Summerville for lunch. We also enjoyed an outing to Hirtles Beach. Thanks for a lovely Stay!

I am glad you enjoyed your stay. And thanks for the daytrip ideas. I will have to try Keji Park and the Quarterdeck.
It was very well kept and comfy - easy to be comfortable there. We were a lottle taken aback from the water and garbage restrictions. It was a beautful location with awesome views.
This was our first trip to Nova Scotia, and it was amazing. Blue Rocks was the perfect home base for our daily adventures. We especially appreciated its proximity to Lunenburg with its beautiful streets, gorgeous harbor, and wonderful restaurants. The house itself is perfectly situated and appointed. We really miss the morning view of the water, the daily visits of the deer, and the evenings on the deck beneath the stars.

I have to agree, sitting on the deck with a coffee in the morning, looking out on the ocean ... it is a pretty great way to start the day. I am glad you enjoyed your stay.
We LOVE Blue Rocks where this property is located and this is a fantastic location on a picturesque cove as you approach what was once an old fishing village. The house maintains its old character with newer hardwood floors throughout, good windows that open and a very functional kitchen plus a great front deck. The eating room by the entrance is especially nice with lots of windows on 3 sides. Bill was very good to deal with, communicated promptly and was pretty flexible whenever possible. The bed in the master bedroom was much softer than we would have liked but it didn't affect our enjoyment of this place. It was clean, quiet, only 12 minutes from Lunenburg and we hope we can return here!
We throughly enjoyed our stay! The Blue Rocks region is like no other and our home away from home was very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped and the living room was comfortable as well as the bedrooms. Will definitely stay here again. Only suggest two things…hot water was not a problem but water pressure in the shower could be better and the trees/bushes along the road blocked the beautiful view from the deck. But we absolutely loved our stay and already miss the quietness of Blue Rocks!

Glad you enjoyed your stay Sharon and you are definitely welcome back. I replaced the water pump this year, so the water pressure is much better.
A beautiful property with an amazing location. The views from the balcony are spectacular. Blue Rocks is such a beautiful place and only minutes from Lunenburg. We were privileged to see the Bluenose II pass by in front of the property many times. We enjoyed the daily visits of the deer and loved stargazing at night. The pictures don’t give the property justice. Also, the owner was very responsive and pleasant to deal with.

I am so happy you enjoyed it. Blue Rocks is a magical location. You were great guests and welcome back any time!
The cottage was well kept and had everything we needed. I wish I had known about the water situation before the last communication. It had a distinct odor (particularly the first day) and we used bottled water to drink and cook with. The only other negative was the tub floor in the bath with the shower. When it got wet, and particularly when soap became involved, the tub was incredibly slick. Overall, we had a good stay and would book the cottage again.

I am glad you enjoyed your stay Franklin. I have replaced the water pump and have not had any other issues from guests.
As I already knew, Blue Rocks is an enchanted part of rural Nova Scotia. The cottage is well situated with views of the ocean. It is also very well equipped and homey. It is a very quiet area very close to Lunenburg with restaurants, art galleries and exclusive shopping.House rules are clearly explainted in writing to guests with little left to chance. I was alone at the cottage except for the first four days with my adult daughter. My only regret is not having used a lockbox before and failing to get it open to leave the house keys there.when I was checking out. Instead, I had to hide them where the owner could find them . I could only leave a note apologizing and explaining. Regarding VRBO, I found the support they gave me to be personable and very efficient .I would rent through them again in the future.
Beautiful, quiet neighbourhood. Great for walks along the waterside. Easy driving into Lunenburg for groceries, sightseeing, lunches, sailing, walking to admire all the historic sights and galleries.
If the other couple had been able to come we would have had to draw straws for who got what bedroom as the second one had bunks and no reading lights.. Could have pushed beds together and added a reading light as we are all great readers. Perhaps I didn’t look closely enough at the photos. No matter it all worked out!
Had some trouble getting the lock box open and closed .
Would love to visit the area again! Thanks!!
Quiet. Enjoyable. A quaint little village just minutes from Lunenburg. Blue Rocks is to Lunenburg, what Peggy's Cove is to Halifax--minus the multitude of tourists.
We never tired of watching the Bluenose II sail past the property.
Loved every bit of our stay. House is beautiful and clean. Awesome location, very quiet. Can sit on the front deck and watch the water and the boats. Very relaxing spot!!
