We had a fabulous stay in Apollo Beach! This home is very well taken care of and the host, Linda, was very kind and accommodating! She was available via texts with any questions and very helpful with places to visit. We enjoyed the sun by the pool, the house was very clean and comfortable and we look forward to visiting again someday! I highly recommend this place! It’s a quiet neighborhood and safe walking distance to stores, restaurants and nice sunsets over the bay!a great long weekend in the Tampa area with a wonderful VRBO for our down time!!

Good rental

We stayed here because of closeness to visiting family, and we were able to golf in the area also. Everything was as described. Too cold to use the pool, but it looked inviting.

Comfortable and clean home

We enjoyed our stay at the Flamingo House. Everything was very clean and in working order. The bathrooms were newly remodeled. We enjoyed the pool on warm days (beach towels were also provided!) and used the kitchen for a few meals. The house is in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to Apollo Beach activities. We would stay here again.

A perfect house for our family (2 adults, 3 small kids). Very clean and well kept, Linda was very helpful and willing to assist with any issues that could’ve come up. They had a packnplay as well as some toys which was very helpful. We would love to come back for another trip!

The property is very cute and was perfect for a family of five. Well maintained and in a quiet neighborhood close to things we needed. There were nice amenities to enjoy the well-kept pool and beach. Nice washer and dryer and plenty of linens. However, we did not have good communication with the management, and we were given incorrect access codes late in the day and then correct ones after the check in time. No one answered at the number I called. Not great after a long day traveling. There was small bits of trash under beds like an empty Gatorade bottle, and the master shower head needs to be replaced or cleaned to work properly. I would have given 5 stars, but I didn’t like not knowing if I’d be able to get into the house or get ahold of someone to help.

Loved the Flamingo House!

We were pleasantly surprised to see the home exceeded our expectations upon arrival. Due to my own confusion, I had to call the host and have her explain to me how to enter via keyless entry (even though her emailed instructions were very clear) and she answered immediately and was so kind and helpful. The home and pool were immaculate! We quickly felt at home during our stay at the Flamingo house.

Exceptional host clean and comfortable great location

Our 2 week stay at Flamingo house was exactly the winter get away we hoped for. The house is very clean and well stocked with everything that we needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. It was great to start our days in the lanai and relaxing in and around the pool and winding down grilling our dinner with the grill provided ( a huge plus was the extra propane tank waiting in the garage ). The location has many good restaurants, beaches, and local attractions minutes away. It is also less than a 1 hour drive to Tampa/St. Pete or Saratoga or any place in between. Pete and Linda are exceptional host quick to respond and go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable.

This property suited our needs perfectly. It was clean and in the location we needed. Very responsive hosts. My only recommendation is to have more toilet paper on hand. There was an extra roll in each bathroom, but it was not sufficient for the needs of three women.

We appreciate your feedback and welcome the opportunity to address and clarify your concerns. - The sliding doors do lock, I'm sorry if my explanation was not clear. These are old doors and they lock differently than what most people expect. We do have new doors ordered but they did not arrive before your trip and could not be installed. - The pool is listed as a "private outdoor pool" in the amenities it is not a heated pool. We typically have warmer weather so a heated pool is not necessary and most people do not have heated pools. We have experienced some cooler-than-normal weather as it was while you were here. - While we try to accommodate all guests' comfort, we're sorry the mattress didn't meet your preferences. The queen bed is brand new and we were unaware of any issues with the sleeping accommodations. We purposely have 2 firm, 1 medium, and 1 soft mattress in an attempt to accommodate different preferences. - We are happy that you utilized the 2 stall garage to store your large truck inside and apologize for any inconvenience due to the temporary storage of commercial boxes related to our family business. The majority were moved out on day 4 of your 17-day stay. We would have been happy to move the remainder if we were aware that it caused concern. This was a temporary situation and has been resolved. - We are located in a beach town and the traffic increases during peak tourist time each year. The local traffic has also increased due to the growth in our area. We are sorry that you found it inconvenient. We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays! We will continue to deliver the 5-star experiences we are known for."

Better than expected

Absolute cutest house ever. When i say they thought of everything, i mean they thought of everything. There was coolers to go to beach, beach towels, laundry detergent, bbq, dish soap, floating devices for pool, make up remover, coffee, tea, seasoning, sticky notes on walls and windows about how things work and where light swtiches are located. You do need a car to get around but it's a nice place to take a walk. Enough places to eat and groceries nearby. Tampa is only 30 minutes drive. We had an absolute blast while we were there. We will most definitely be staying here again when we come back to this area..... switchelocated

Great stay!

We had a great stay! The house was perfect for us. Parents in one bedroom, kids in the twin beds, grandparents in another. Everyone raved about the comfort of the mattresses. The extra door to the living room gave peace of mind when littles went to sleep so the adults could still watch tv. The pool was fabulous and having green space to kick a ball was great. It was so nice to not have to worry about extras, like toilet paper, plastic bags, laundry detergent, all those little extras you have to worry about when renting a house. Stuff for the beach, toys and books for the little kids, this house had it all. Great base for all of our Tampa, Bradenton visits. The only con I heard all trip was that the bathroom was a bit through the house if you need to use it while in the pool.

Family of 5

We recently stayed at the Flamingo House while visiting family. The house size worked well for my in-laws, husband, infant son, and me. The provided pack-n-play was essential for our baby's sleep and even had a fitted sheet. I had naively packed us swimsuits, but the pool was too cold for our preference. A few issues came up during our stay, one being a need for replacement bathing towels. Luckily, the owners responded to our texts and addressed them as they live nearby. I will agree with another reviewer who suggested new cushioned furniture. They are less comfy than they look and tricky to get out of (especially when holding a baby). Wasn't a deal breaker though.
