The cabin setting is quite beautiful but a little tricky to find. The kitchen was decently appointed. The main bed was comfortable enough and I liked the pillows. The shower and hot water worked well. The deck was lovely but I didn't use it because it was a little too cool during my stay. The heat was easy to figure out. Here are things which made my stay not that comfortable: 1. Keyless entry was easy enough, but they forgot to tell me how to actually LOCK the door when I departed. I left a message requesting help and they got back to me pretty quickly, which is fortunate because I needed to get to an appointment and was short on time. Please note the woman that called me was very pleasant. It was just a few stressful minutes of wondering how to work that door and wondering if I was going to have to repack everything into my car so I could get to my appointment.2. The rug in the kitchen is unravelling and there were several large, ropey strands just waiting to cause a tripping accident.3. The refrigerator door does not swing closed naturally. It will remain slightly ajar if you do not firmly push it closed.4. HUGE closets. Loved that. Unfortunately, there were no drawers to put away clothing that could not be hung up, so I ended up living out of my suitcase for 5 days, which is inconvenient. Please note that the sliding doors on the closets stick and grind on the runners if you want to open them all the way.5. Same space problem in the bathroom. There was no cabinet or shelf to place my toiletries. Inconvenient. I don't see myself staying here, again, because of these things.
I recently stayed in this cozy cabin, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! The location was serene and surrounded by nature, providing a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The cabin itself was spotless, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated. The amenities were fantastic – from the fully equipped kitchen to the comfortable bedding, everything was thoughtfully provided. The only minor concern was the daybed in the smaller bedroom. According to my grandson, it wasn’t very comfortable and tended to make some noise when he moved. The host was incredibly accommodating and responsive, ensuring that our visit was smooth and enjoyable. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to unwind and recharge.
I highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing retreat. I’m already planning my next visit!

Great Idyllwild Cabin
This cabin was well worth it. Well stocked, very comfortable, very peacefull, hot and cold water work perfectly, heater and stove work great. We met the neighbors across from us and they were super nice. The little town was a little over a mile away. All shops with a town square park very peacefull atmosphere. All store workers were super nice and welcoming. In speaking with the cabin owner on the phone, she is super friendly and helpful. I recommend arriving during daylight, because as she says, it is hard to see the small street the leads to the cabin and the cabin itself during nighttime. If you are looking for a peaceful getaway in nature, this is well worth looking into. The only thing to watch out for for any first timers is the narrow roads up and down the mountain.

Lovely Getaway
Lovely cabin getaway! The cabin was very warm, clean, quiet and secluded with a darling vintage vibe. Exactly what we were looking for. The large wrap around deck made you feel like you were living in a tree house. Although the couch was a bit uncomfortible which made snuggling in front of the window to enjoy the view a bit challenging, but we still made it work. There is a wood burning stove instead of a fire place and make sure you bring your own wood. We did not bring any firewood so we could not use the wood burning stove but the cabin was warm enough with the heater. Plus, we did not have snow and a fire was not needed during this trip. We went into town for dinner and many restaurants were closed and the one that wasn't, was slow and out of everything. Additionally, the town was was very crowded this time of year and wait time for dinner was over an hour. We ended up picking up food from the market and making dinner ourselves which was better for us and more time to spend enjoying the cabin. We will definitely stay here again.
