Summer vacation

Room was very nice, clean and spacious, with the exception of no air conditioning, which is listed as one of the amenities. That's the only reason I booked it and needless to say, I was very disappointed when I arrived. I'd suggest removing that from the listing. Other than that, everything was great!

Great location, perfect for adventure weekend

We stayed here and enjoyed the short walk to the lift and to the bus line to get to downtown Crested Butte. The bed was comfortable and kitchen had most basic essentials. We would stay again for a short ski or hiking weekend.

Perfect get a away

The reviews are very accurate. Overall the place is a 5/5. We would stay again. The hot tub, location to slopes, bus route and base are all excellent- The freezer in the mini fridge is still frosted Over and the single pan does stick- you will need butter. As people have said the walls are thin so you do hear everyone coming in and out- which if you are a light sleeper could be an issue- otherwise being on the ground floor was perfect for us- The bed is amazing, the couch is super comfortable and the shower is amazing. it comes with all the basics, but nothing too fancy. We will totally stay here again without a doubt when we come back! Thank you for the stay!

Good enough.

This hotel (it’s just in the Grand Lodge at the base of the resort) is fine. It’s not exciting, but you’re probably picking it because it’s affordable. The room hasn’t been updated in a while, but it does have a Roku with each TV. Bed was comfortable and shower was great. There were some annoying things (locked metal cabinet in the bedroom, belongings left behind in the closet and under the bed, cleaning supplies taking up a lot of the closet, bathroom sink didn’t have soap, freezer was almost completely frosted) that we didn’t love, hence the less than perfect review. For the price in CB though, it’s okay enough.

Perfect location

Great location, CB always is perfect this time of year. Very easy to get to downtown CB or out to the trails. Perfect for 2-3 people. King bed very comfortable. Definitely will be back! No AC…but no mountain town has AC. Perfect temperature at night with fan and windows open

There were issues with using the TV remote and also with using the hot stove on the countertop. It was also extremely hot in the room so we had to keep all of the fans blowing at high speed constantly, which created so much noise that we could not hear each other. There was a very small window with very little air coming thru it. The curtains were very heavy and we had to keep them closed the entire time that we were in the apt, otherwise the sun made the room unbearable. The place needs to be updated, the bed was creaky and the mattress was obviously old and soft. the linens were just adequate, and for the price we feel that the amenities should have been at a higher level. Our rep tried to help us out with the stove and the TV, but it was very frustrating. He should have come over to help us fix those issues. It took away from our enjoyment. The location was nice, but there was no place to sit outside, so we felt very cooped up in the dark apt.

Pleasantly Surprised

We got a great deal on this studio at the Grand Lodge. I didn't expect much, but we were pleasantly surprised when we walked in. It's almost a one bedroom, but since there's no doorway between spaces, it's considered a studio. It's on the small side, but enough space for a family of 4 (young kids). The bedroom is at the front and the closet and bathroom are between the bedroom area and living room area giving a nice separation. The living room faces the parking lot with a view of mountains opposite of the slopes. There's a table with 2 chairs, good wifi, and each space had a dresser and TV. Yes, you can hear people in the hallway, but just in passing. It didn't bother us at all. We did bring a sound machine, since we always use one, which muffled any sounds. This is a dog friendly unit, and other dogs were in the area, but I'm happy to report there was no sign of dogs having been in the room. The beds were comfy, even the pull out sofa. The host was very responsive to messages and the unit was comfortably stocked. I did think the bedroom area was too dark and I would have liked a designated space for all of our ski stuff (skis are to be valeted out front or at the base of the slopes). But overall, we very much enjoyed our stay! Bring snacks (lodge didn't have any for sale after breakfast) and take a robe and flip flops to wear to/from the pool!

Amazing Location

We really enjoyed our stay in Joseph's condo. The location on the first floor was ideal for skiing, unloading, loading, pool activities, etc. The room was very clean and the extra "touches" were very welcoming. Ex. Dove body wash, shampoo, conditioner, nice linens, etc. The location of The Lodge was ideal for skiing, going into Crested Butte, swimming and enjoying all that Crested Butte offers. We highly recommend it and we will be re-booking it in the future.

Great Location!

This place was super convenient. It’s a 5 minute walk to the lifts, and the shuttle into town is right out your front door. The room was the perfect size for me and my girlfriend. The owner is super accommodating as well. He let us have a later check out time to get more time on the slopes. Would stay here again!

Convenience to the max!

This room is fantastic for a small family - it was myself, my husband, and our daughter. She opted to sleep on the living room couch, not as the pull-out, but was super comfortable. The little kitchen was great for small meals. There's not an oven or stove, but a microwave and toaster oven, so you can heat things up well. The fridge is a dorm fridge, so you had to strategically plan what you were putting in there. We had a cooler with us, too, so that wasn't that bad. The amenities are really great - pool, workout room, hot tub. Right on the mountain in Mt. Crested Butte, next to the bus stops to get to Crested Butte, so you wouldn't even need to drive if you didn't want to.

Perfect location

This unit is a two area studio, there is a nice bedroom with a King bed when you enter, then a hall with a closet and bathroom and then a combined kitchenette and living room. This is where sleep couch is also. The place was clean. The only down sides where that it was located on the rear entrance hallway, so it was noisy at times, especially with the bed in the front. There needs to be more utensil as there were only two forks and spoons, this makes no sense when advertising as "sleeps 4", also no strainer was provided for washing vegetables or straining pasta. These downsides are easily corrected. Location was perfect right next to CBR.

Perfect spot

This unit is a two section studio, one has the king bed and the other is a living room/kitchenette area with a nice bathroom and closet in between. Everything was fine, except the kitchen was short on eating utensils, especially spoons and forks, also no strainer for washing lettuce or cooking pasta. Also the location along the rear entrance was great for access but a bit noisy with all the foot traffic, ok if you are a heavy sleeper.

CB studio at Grand Lodge

Overall my stay here was very good. Joseph was very responsive and even allowed me to check in early when I arrived sooner than anticipated. Parking was free and very easy. The town has a free shuttle to downtown that picks you up right outside of the hotel, which was super convenient! The room had everything I needed and the kitchenette was great (it even had a toaster oven which was awesome since there is only a cooktop otherwise). There was a roku on both TVs, allowing you to sign into your streaming services. The hot tub and pool were clean and open until 11pm. There was also a small workout room, although I didn’t utilize this. I took off one star due to a few concerns. Firstly, the listing states central air conditioning, however this is not true to the room (no AC in the room), only the hotel common areas. Also, the room was very clean except for there being dog fur on the comforter. Luckily there was a new comforter in the closet I was able to use instead. Lastly, the noises from the hall are very loud in the room. I woke up nearly every time one of my neighbors doors open or shut. I brought a white noise machine that did help a little with this, but not much. With all that being said, however, I would definitely stay here again. The many pros outweigh the few cons, and this is a lovely option for your stay in CB! I hope to be back.
