The bright blue exterior of this three-story home signals coastal fun for the whole family in central Lincoln City, steps from the beach. With bedrooms spread among the three stories and an extra family suite, the Blue Crab is an excellent choice for sharing your vacation with another family or extra friends—you’ll find privacy and congenial gathering spaces galore.

The elevated main level has an inviting living room with leather sofas, TV/DVD, a gas fireplace, hardwood floors and French doors to an outdoor deck. The dining room and kitchen are set apart, with seating for 12, a breakfast bar, stainless appliances and plenty of granite counter-space for multiple cooks. A sliding door takes you to the deck with its gas barbecue, where you can get a peek at the ocean.

The lower level features a full family suite: a beautiful queen bedroom with TV, a full bath, and a bonus room with two full futon sofa sleepers and a giant TV. Sliding doors take you into a fenced river-rock patio area with a roofed gazebo covering a firepit and chairs for private marshmallow roasting or just relaxing with a glass of wine.

The Blue Crab saves the best for last: the upstairs landing has a large book, game, and DVD library on your way to two spacious queen suites, with their TV/DVDs, gas fireplaces and light-filled, tiled baths with walk-in showers and spa tubs. Review for the stay

Overall in would say the stay was ok the space was great but the only the only thing I would rate bad is for the pans of the kitchen are badly dirty and not well cleaned we had to clean them our self did not get a discount for doing that I would of At least expected a discount for this . Also they should change out the chairs. from the back side they have mold on the chair we had to put towels over them to be able to sit on them .

Renters beware

I have never left a review before, but I felt the need to let others know that the huge balcony was not accessible during our stay and hadn't been for a long time before. They didn't let us know until right before our stay. We chose the house because of the huge balcony. The living room is small so we were going to open up the balcony doors to have more space. Also, it is extremely loud if you are sleeping in the first floor bedroom and there are still people awake in the kitchen/dining room area. We had to switch which families slept down there after the first night due to getting very little sleep. I asked Meredith Lodging for a small discount for the balcony being inaccessible and the TV not working for the first 2 days, but they refused. This house is in a great location and very clean.

Bunco Beach Trip (yearly trip)

Blue Crab beach house was very dirty and had so many problems to list.. I reported these problems to management and hoping they get back to us.. one thing I would say is Blue Crab beach house needs to change their pictures on there web-site.. the house is not as listed it looks like pictures are from a long time ago.. we had 12 ladies staying in this house and one of the gals had to go stay in a hotel close by because there was not enough beds and no extra sheets or blankets.. I would not recommend this house to anyone at this time.. hard lesson learned and a very expensive lesson.. we were all very very disappointed in this beach house.. even the maintenance man they sent over could not believe the shape the house was in.. NO TV worked all 4 days we were there!

Great location, lots of space

The Blue crab was just a short walk from the beach, and had plenty of room for the 10 of us. However, there were some disappointments. Upon entering the house, we noticed that it was very warm and smelled musty. We opened some of the windows to air it out and enjoy the nice breeze, but several of the windows had no screens, and bugs were flying in, so we had to close them. (The next day we tried just using the A/C, but it was pretty ineffective at cooling the house, the temperature inside just kept rising).Then we discovered that, while there were plenty of beds and sleep sofas, there were not sheets for all of them. We spoke to the management, and the housekeeping team brought more later that day. When we were ready to cook dinner that night, and checked out the cookware, some of it looked ok, but several of the pots were old, dirty, and rusty to the point that nobody would want to use them. And when my daughter was ready to take a shower and pulled some towels of the rack in her bathroom, two of them, while folded in a pretty fan shape, had fresh makeup smeared on them (not old stains). This was a long planned family reunion, and we did have a wonderful week. The proximity to the beach was outstanding. and we loved being able to spread out and enjoy the layout of the house. However, I think the Blue Crab would benefit from a more thorough top to bottom cleaning, and a closer eye on what's stocked in the kitchen and bathrooms.
