The home was very clean and fully stocked. We enjoyed visiting with family atound the large table on the deck. The children enjoyed all the outdoor game's and the beautiful setting.

Home was very welcoming. Very clean and accommodating. Loved the back patio and yard. Kiddos loved the porch pony (as they called it) Worked perfectly for our family, we definitely would stay again!

This was an excellent place for a family. We were lucky enough to meet the owner. It is a remote area on a gravel road but because it is so remote it is very quiet. Our grandchildren loved the big back yard and we enjoyed dinners on the nice big outdoor table under the covered patio.

Awesome place

Love all the room, stocked very well, outdoor yard and fire pit are perfect. Great location to Silverwood. Nice walk in the woods and quiet!

Perfect place!

Great location to Silverwood Theme Park. Beautiful surroundings, very well stocked, lots of comfortable beds, very nice outside area. Will definitely stay with my family again next year!

We absolutely loved our stay. It was clean, well organized, everything worked well and outside was just stunning to have peice and quiet and feel like you were in the middle of nowhere. The host was also very helpful with any questions I had. We would definitely love to stay here again.

It was a perfect place for our family staying in the area for a wedding. Everything we needed was supplied. The home was very clean and the neighborhood was quiet. We loved the coffee bar, the covered porch with a huge table, multiple lawn chairs to watch the corn hole tourney. The lawn was so nice and green on a hot Idaho day! The host was amazing. She was so nice and helpful with every question we had. We definitely would stay there again. If you are looking, don’t hesitate to book it.

Secluded retreat

Fantastic stay. Close to Silverwood and other attractions, but very peaceful. Plenty of room for kids to run plus bonus yard games. Meticulously cleaned when we arrived. Coffee bar was a nice treat. Thank you for sharing your home

Fantastic Property!

This property was perfect for our group of 9. The teenagers took the upstairs as their hangout place and the main floor was for the adults. Lots of room to play outdoor games and roast marshmallows. Location is perfect, close to the State park for hiking and swimming, and Silverwood!

Beautiful property

We had four nights at this beautiful home. There were three different families coming together, and this was such a wonderful alternative to staying in a hotel. The kids could run in the grass. The space was perfect, as each family got their own bathroom. Although the main bathroom door was very sticky and made terrible nose to open and close it. We were away from the home during the days (at Silverwood) but a nice spot to come home to at the end of the day and just relax.

Great time!

We were coming for a quick trip to silver wood, normally camp but decided to change it up a little. We came across the Straussin house. Couldn’t of asked for more! Beautiful house surrounded by beautiful property. Had everything we could of possibly needed and spent a lot of time enjoying the outdoors. Even saw some deer and mama turkey with her babies. More than happy with our stay, and hope to come back one day.

Beautiful but a/c only upstairs

Beautiful & peaceful property. However, the listing said central a/c and unfortunately that is not accurate. The only a/c in the house is upstairs which leaves the whole downstairs without. The property is great other than that. Ample space, kitchen was great along with the coffee bar.

It was beautiful location and the teens loved the up stairs. It's a pretty early check out and I feel like I pd a big cleaning fee and then had to strip every bed unload the dishwasher from our breakfast and be out by 10:00 that's too much. And my son found two things of pot in a bedroom thank God he gave it to me me.( We should get a cleaning refund for that)

Homeowner's Response: "Hi Barbara, I'm sorry that the check-out instructions were confusing for you. We did not intend for you to have to do anything more than put your dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start it before leaving and hand-wash and put away any dirty dishes that didn't fit in the dishwasher. We also did not intend for you to do anything more than remove dirty sheets from the used beds and place those used sheets in the laundry baskets provided in each bedroom. We have made some wording changes to our listing and guest book to help make things clearer for future guests. My apologies for the extra work you did before check-out, which you didn't need to do."

Very Relaxing

I rent vrbo's every year and this is the only property that actually contacted me before the check in time just to let me know a few pointers to help us with a better stat and to let me know that the home was ready for us, and we could arrive early if we wished. We really appreciated it for we came from OR and CA and were ready to crash. They had lots of dishes and plenty of nice pans to cook with. Many VRBO's don't have good pans. Everything was clean and we tried our best to leave it as clean as we could. I did read that their intentions on their home was family time, which is high importance, however family can include a football game or good movie on TV and with only one TV upstairs with only a small sofa to sit on and there are 6 adults and 3 children, well you get the picture. Plus, it's in an area where people sleep so watching TV late is disturbing to people in bed. A TV downstairs in the living room would be nice. Plus I have issues climbing stairs so that was a small issue as well. But all in all, it's a wonderful place with a lot of coffee provided if you are a coffee drinker. The kids loved the big yard, and my grandson (6) found a snake (don't worry it was small and harmless) The yard is so big we even were able to play some football. A croquet game would be perfect for the size yard. I you have one take it for they don't have one. I was wishing we had one while we stayed. Again, very lovely, clean and great hostess. thank you.
