Property was as described. Far away from the chaos of the Sea Wall, but also very close to the beach. The house was clean and had lovely decorations. Beds were nice and comfortable. The two decks were amazing for nighttime relaxing and star gazing.

Cute, cozy, and clean perfect for enjoying a relaxing weekend. Loved the balcony enjoyed my coffee listening to the waves and watching the birds. Four of us stayed here and had plenty of room for all our needs. Being close to the ocean was very pleasant. The owners were easy to work with and gave us all the information we need in a timely manner. We would stay here again if we come back to Galveston.

Wonderful escape

A beautiful escape. This beach home had everything we needed and was cutely decorated. The beach is a easy walk and was not overly crowded. Lots of adventures close by for all ages. Definitely would love to come back and stay.

Great quiet location walking distance to beach

This home was very comfortable with a nice view of the ocean. My wife and I enjoyed watching the sunrise from the balcony. We have four children and it was easy to get to the beach without crossing streets and dodging traffic. The property was very clean and I would definitely visit this specific home in the future.

Great family getaway!

Beautiful house! We felt right at home as soon as we arrived. Perfect for our 5 day stay. It had everything we needed, including a washer and dryer. The kitchen was stocked with everything needed for cooking. The beach was very private and only a short walk. We enjoyed every day of being there and wished we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend this home for a short or long trip!

Perfect for our family of four

This house was perfect for our family of four with plenty of room to spare! It was great being able to walk to the beach with our four year old and two year old. The shower and outside storage area were very helpful. Everything was exactly how described in the listing (maybe even a little better) and the instructions for our stay were spot on. Galveston condo review

Overall a very comfortable property. Completely equipped kitchen with good new appliances. If you like to cook, you will be pleased with this kitchen. Nice partial beach view and easy access. Owner very accessible and helpful. Only a couple of concerns. Technology hard to use. (Each TV had 3 remotes and confusing directions all referred to the "Comcast remote". None of the remotes labeled "Comcast." No Fox sports so no Astros-Rangers playoff games. Never really got the tech figured out (And I am tech experienced) but you don't come to the beach to watch TV that much. For older guests, be aware no handholds in showers and high floor strips in doorways can be tripping issue. Also if stairs are a problem, this is not the spot for you. (3 floors of stair access) Apart from these issues, we had a nice stay and a comfortable place.

We had a great relaxing few days at Yolanda and Doc’s beach house. Very cozy and welcoming with the beautiful views from every room in the house. The close proximity to the beach was a plus! We walked the beach and played in the water. Located outside of Galveston/Seawall proper near Jamaica Beach, this home gives the peace and quiet our family needed with easy access to go back “into the city” for adventures. Yolanda was so accommodating with our traveling timeline. This house is perfect!

My husband and me enjoy sharing our 3-bedroom, 3 full bathroom beach home next door and when this beach home came up for sale, we decided to purchase the beach home.
We found many families with a desire to stay close to the beach and enjoy the relaxation that only a beach can offer! We also wanted to provide vacationers, with multiple family members, the option of sharing the same beach area but still having the privacy of being in separate quarters.

Why they chose this property

Our beach is close to Jamaica beach ( Karankawa Beach) not crowded and is a location well known by frequent island guest renters. We also enjoy this location, it is secluded but close enough (10 miles to the seawall) to all of the island happenings!

What makes this property unique

A unique benefit of renting our townhome is its phenomenal location. It is far enough from town to have the small town feeling but close enough to enjoy Galveston and all its attractions. Our guests LOVE the proximity to the beach as well as the proximity to a well stocked grocery store and Nates Restaurant. We are only 10 miles from the Seawall, which is also a big PLUS!
