I come to this old farmhouse every trip back to Kansas! It is perfect for me. If you love being out in the country and the memory of Grandma’s house, you will adore this farmhouse and sitting on the front porch listening to the whippoorwills in the evening.

Thank you, Joan! We love hearing that our farmhouse feels like a home away from home. There’s something special about quiet country evenings, front porch conversations, and those familiar sounds that bring back cherished memories. Not thrilled with the "off road" location although it wasn't far. House was nice, peaceful location, comfortable bed, and access was easy but, unfortunately the rear deck access was ultra easy for anyone at any hour due to the fact that the sliding door did not lock! Luckily each bedroom had a deadbolt lock on it.

From the Owner: "Thank you for your feedback . We’re glad you enjoyed the peaceful setting, comfortable beds, and easy access to the home. We also appreciate you bringing the sliding door lock to our attention. Guest safety is extremely important to us, and the issue was addressed immediately after your stay. We’re always working to improve the experience for future guests and appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts."
This was my second stay at the farmhouse and it was perfect. If you are looking for a true out in the country stay that is also close to town, this is it. It’s like spending time at grandma’s house. Loved it!

Thank you for choosing to stay with us again! We’re so happy to hear the farmhouse feels like a true country retreat with that cozy “grandma’s house” charm. It means so much that you loved your visit, and we’d be delighted to welcome you back anytime.
We had a wonderful time at the farmhouse! There was plenty of space for our family and the property was clean. We were able to cook with ease as the kitchen was well-stocked. Several from our group even went fishing, which they enjoyed. This house is very quiet and relaxing, and is conveniently located right outside of the Kansas City metro area.
Great views, really cool house. Love the antique decor. The beds are so comfortable. Love the claw foot tub and shower in the Primary bathroom. Dining room table was big and nice, we ate dinner there and breakfast at the island in the kitchen. We took walks and enjoyed the pond. Very quiet, peaceful. We recommend to families and couples. Great place, easy to find.

Thank you for such a wonderful review! We’re so glad you enjoyed the views, antique décor, and all the farmhouse touches—from the clawfoot tub to the big dining table. It’s great to hear you found the setting peaceful and relaxing. We truly appreciate your recommendation and would love to host you again!
What a place!! The farm house is modernized but does not lose any farm house charm! My family couldn’t get me off the front porch! So peaceful to sit and watch the world go by. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. There’s plenty of space at the large dining room table for people AND the food. We were there for KU’s graduation and it was nice to take the short ride from Lawrence to escape the hubbub of people. Even though my son has graduated, I’m going to plan another trip there. Thanks for the hospitality!
