Great modern cabin, super cute and super clean. We really enjoyed our stay and had most everything we needed. Had plenty of space for adults and teens. Would have been helpful to put the check in process on listing with big bear vactations. Would totally rent again!

Thank you for choosing Big Bear Vacations and for taking the time to leave a review. Your feedback is valuable to us, as we strive to improve with each and every stay. We’re extremely sorry that your experience with us was not up to par. Upkeep and cleanliness are very important to us, so we are disappointed that this was not the case during your stay. We have addressed the issues you mentioned with our housekeeping team, who have done a deep clean on the property. It is our hope that you will give us the opportunity to better serve you in the near future.
Stayed here with my husband and 3 kids, ages 6, 6 and 4 with our dog. Home is gorgeous, stocked with everything you need for cooking even some kids toys. Great open layout with large dinning room, massive living area and upstairs room with bunk beds perfect for the kids. Large grounds where you can sled in backyard and play in the snow. Beds very comfortable. Bring some fire wood and fire starters - (2) great fireplaces that really warm the house well.
Beware during winter the house is up a fairly steep hill - we arrived while it was snowing and multiple cars (even with chains) were stuck trying to get up the hill in the neighborhood so we had to wait 2 hrs for tow trucks to clear them before getting to the cabin. Our 4 wheel drive truck made it no problem. Also there was no snow shovel at the property so we couldn’t dig our car out the first day but management was very responsive and brought us a shovel within an hour of calling. Management also had a snow plow clear our driveway which was a huge plus! We’d definitely stay again. Great family cabin. Great management team.

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in
Nice cabin but had issues
Here are a few of the issues that we dealt with during our stay.
1. Pipes froze prior to our arrival. Maintenance was still unfreezing the pipes till 5:30pm delaying our check in.
2. Low water pressure, Thursday night into Friday morning. Water authority came Friday at noon reporting that the house was dumping 900 gallons of water an hour for the previous 20 hours. Found that maintenance from previous day left water valve open, dumping 900 gallons/hour into the sewer. After it was corrected water pressure back to normal
3. Found and killed two black widows under the inside staircase. Kids sat on this staircase to put on shoes. Not an ideal situation.
4. No TV service in main living room. The satellite receiver was not working. Called the office twice to try and resolve. This issue was not addressed. Not able to watch TV and wind down during the evenings.
5. Porch lights in driveway did not work. Very dark while we were unloading. Also dangerous on the icy stairs.
I get it. Stuff happens, pipes freeze, spiders are going always be around, bulbs burn out etc. The only issue that really bugged us was the fact that nobody got back to us regarding the TV. Customer service twice told me that somebody would come by and fix it. Nobody came.
